The Sherrone Moore scandal has exploded across the internet, turning into one of college football's biggest scandals ever. It all began when the University of Michigan initiated an internet investigation into their head football coach, Sherrone Moore, for workplace misconduct. It was followed by his arrest, which quickly became global news. Needless to say, insiders and online investigators are now following every little detail about Sherrone, his wife, Kelli, and Paige. Amid all this, a new claim has made headlines: was Sherrone's alleged mistress, Paige Shiver, actually friends with his wife, Kelli?

Were Paige Shiver and Kelli Moore friends? 

After Sherrone Moore was accused of having an 'inappropriate relationship' with one of his co-workers at the University of Michigan, it left the American Football world in shock. Soon, it was allegedly revealed that the woman involved was Paige Shiver, his executive assistant. Netizens quickly went to her Instagram account, and among other details, they were shocked to notice that Paige and Sherrone's wife followed each other despite the head coach himself not following his wife. This discovery has left the internet in a frenzy.

Screenshots of the same have been circulating on X (formerly Twitter) showing the two women's connection. It has sparked a new wave of speculation that the alleged affair was not only a betrayal but a breach of their interpersonal trust. Although there is no confirmation that they were close, social media users are shocked to know the women were familiar.

Additionally, fans have also uncovered Sherrone Moore's Instagram follower list. It pointed out that he used to follow "dozens of IG models and thirst-trap accounts". Yet somehow, he did not follow Kelli. Expressing anger over the same, one netizen penned: 

"This is wild behaviour for a married man".

What was Sherrone Moore arrested for? 

According to Pittsfield Township police, Sherrone Moore's downfall intensified after he was jailed following his firing from the University of Michigan. The arrest came after the officers responded to an alleged report of assault at 4:10 pm EST on December 10, 2025. Incidentally, it was less than 30 minutes before the university publically announced his termination. 

Police told multiple outlets that the suspect has now confirmed that Sherrone Moore was detained around 8:30 pm and taken to Washtenaw County Jail. Until December 10, 2025, he has remained in custody with no listed charges. Amid this, investigators have stressed that the incident posed no threat to the public.

Sherrone Moore's fired earlier on the same day after the University of Michigan found 'credible evidence' of his inappropriate workplace relationship. His act violated the educational institution's polices and ethics. At the same time, due to his termination, he will not receive most of his multimillion-dollar buyout.

Paige Shiver joined Michigan Athletics in 2021 as a recruiting and football operations staffer. Later, she was promoted to the position of executive assistant to the head coach (Sherrone Moore) in February 2024. Paige is the daughter of Chicago Bears executive scout Jeff Shiver and a Purdue University graduate. In 2016, she had publically opened up about suffering Pompe disease, a rare genetic muscle disorder, in a feature by the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, her colleagues have described her as highly dedicated and respected within the program. However, after the scandal broke out, she made her Instagram account private.
