She, along with her family, revealed that the actress passed away peacefully after fighting a long battle with a chronic illness. However, the exact details or medical term were not shared by her family. Georgia added that her family was devastated at the loss and requested privacy. Moreover, they announced that Rachael's funeral will be held on December 19, 2025, in the presence of close friends and family members.

Rachael Carpani was born in 1980 and rose to fame with her stint on McLeod's Daughters. She appeared in the series from 2001 to 2009, earning two Logie Award nominations and becoming a household name in Australia. Eventually, she built an international career by being part of popular series in the US, such as NCIS: Los Angeles, The Glades, and Against the Wall. 

Later, Rachael returned to Australian television with a recurring role on Home and Away. Apart from acting, she was vocal about her health issues, diagnosis of endometriosis, and adenomyosis. In turn, she tried to raise awareness for women's health issues. Alongside the actress, she was outspoken about issues such as domestic violence.
