The royal marriage of Boston-educated, 24-year-old Yaduveer and 22-year-old princess Trishika Kumaritook took place in the main Durbar Hall of the palace in the auspicious Karkataka lagna. It was a completely traditional wedding and the wedding rituals lasted for two days. Kamashidevi, grandaunt of Yaduveer said:

“It was a typical south Indian Mysorean wedding. There was a small pooja [religious ritual] for the bride before the wedding ceremony began. Normally, in our families, the girl adapts to the traditions of the boy’s family.”

Wedding rituals began in the morning with groom performing Ganapati pooja and the bride performing Gowri pooja. On the wedding day, Yaduveer could be seen wearing the royal crown and a cream bandhgala and his bride dazzled in a red and gold saree.
