Jimmy Donaldson, who is popularly known as Mr. Beast, is the most subscribed YouTuber and one of the richest content creators. Mr. Beast has occupied the top spot for quite some time now and also enjoys widespread popularity. Recently, a viral video showing him with other popular YouTubers, IShowspeed and Sketch has created a lot of confusion among fans about whether he bought NFL if it is a prank. 

Did Mr. Beast buy the NFL?

A video has been going viral, which starts off with a news anchor revealing that popular YouTuber Mr. Beast has purchased the National Football League. This is followed by a press conference with NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, announcing that the NFL is now owned by one individual, Jimmy Donaldson, a.k.a, Mr. Beast. The video then shows Mr. Beast announcing some changes and reserving a spot on the roster for a YouTuber. From IShowspeed, ValkyRae to Haylee Baylee, the video shows many popular content creators vying for a spot in their teams of choice. 

Even though the viral video has a humorous and sarcastic undertone throughout, many people are confused about whether Mr. Beast has actually bought the NFL, and it is his clever way of revealing this fact. However, the truth is that the video is a comedy sketch and Mr. Beast has not bought the NFL. As for who actually owns the football league? Well, it is owned by the 32 teams as franchises, and Roger Goodell represents them as a commissioner.

Netizens react to the video of Mr. Beast 'buying' the NFL

The video was part of a campaign to promote the fact that YouTube has the exclusive broadcast rights to the Chargers vs. Chiefs game. Though it might have confused the netizens a bit, the promotional video has also got everyone talking about it. One X user taking the commercial seriously wrote, "This dude is going to buy the whole World." Another commentor, on the other hand, realised the satire and stated, "I would actually pay to see this." A third user said, "This is epic. Imagining YouTubers on every NFL team is like the ultimate crossover event. Can't wait to see how this shakes up the game both on and off the field."

Mr. Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, was born in Kansas, U.S.A and started posting videos on YouTube as early as 2012. After consistently posting content, he went viral in 2017 with his "I Counted to 100,000!" video. As Mr. Beast's popularity grew, his content also became more elaborate. Now, apart from creating content, he has also launched other business ventures such as Feastibles chocolate bars, Beast Burgers, Lunchly kits, among more. In his personal life, Mr. Beast got engaged to his girlfriend, Thea Booysen, on Christmas Eve of 2024.
