From inking his arm with Smriti's initials and jersey number to proposing to her at her favourite ground, Palaash Muchhal turned out to be the internet's new 'green flag', and it was going great until several screenshots surfaced on social media, claiming he had cheated on Smriti. Firstly, Smriti's dad was hospitalised, and following this, Palaash was also hospitalised. On November 27, 2025, Palaash was discharged from the hospital, and doctors revealed what exactly happened to the music composer that needed him to be admitted to the hospital. It was yesterday, on November 26, 2025, when Palaash's cousin took to social media and revealed that he was not doing well, while requesting people not to fall for the speculation around and pray for him.

As Palaash Muchhal was discharged from the hospital, doctors revealed that he had reported chest pain, uneasiness, and difficulty breathing. He was first hospitalised in Sangli and later was moved to SRV hospital in Mumbai, where several tests were done as his condition didn't improve. Now, doctors revealed that Palaash didn't have any indication of cardiac arrest, although certain levels were elevated. The condition reportedly happened due to extreme stress and anxiety, as reported. The music composer's condition stabilised after he received proper treatment. As per the doctor:

"While certain levels were found to be slightly elevated, there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency. As a basic line of treatment in such cases, oxygen therapy was started immediately. Following initial stabilisation, Palash was shifted to a general room and kept under close observation."

When Smriti Mandhana's dad was admitted to the hospital and the wedding was postponed, netizens found out that the cricketer had deleted all her photos with him from social media, which felt a bit weird to the netizens. However, when it was reported that Palaash was also admitted to the hospital, speculations started doing the rounds that he had cheated on Smriti, which led the wedding to be cancelled. While not officially confirmed, several screenshots from a woman named Mary D'Costa made rounds on social media, showing Palaash's chat with her, which raised claims about emotional cheating.

Following this, gossip from Reddit spread like wildfire that the music composer cheated on Smriti with the choreographer of their wedding, and people linked her with Mary. It was claimed that Smriti's father caught Palaash's betrayal, which led to a major alteration and eventually his heart attack. While nothing has been officially confirmed, Mary D'Costa came forward to claim that while her chats with Palaash were true, they were old, and she's not the choreographer with whom he cheated on Smriti.
