The 50-year-old claims that she was drugged and left unconscious at a hotel outside Chicago on November 23, 2025. The American Pie star told TMZ how a simple situation turned into a terrifying medical emergency, leaving her in the hospital. Here's how all the events unfolded with her. 

What happened to Tara Reid?

Recently an footage obtained by the same outlet showed Tara Reid lying on a stretcher as paramedics rushed her to transport her to the nearest medical facility. The chaotic moment left everyone in a state of shock. Now the actress opened up about the same and explained that late on November 22, 2025, she went into the hotel and headed down to the bar before stepping out for a cigarette. On her way out, she was greeted by a group of YouTubers in the lobby, and one of them joined her for a smoke.

After returning, Tara saw that someone had covered her drink with a tissue, which had not been there before. Yet, she removed it and had the drink. However, shockingly, the next moment she could recall was waking up in a hospital bed with no memory of how she got there. Tara insisted that she only had 'one drink' that night and highlighted that her past background with substance abuse has no connection to it.

For those unaware, Tara Reid has been transparent about her sobriety journey and once told Touch Back in 2009 that rehab saved her life. But she is adamant that the incidents that unfolded on November 23, 2025, were different, sudden, and terrifying for her. Before Tara got to the hospital, the nearby people who recorded the video shared that they could hear some yelling while she was under the influence of some substance. Recalling her words, they said:

"You don't know who I am. I am famous. I'm an actress."

However, despite the serious incident and shocking claims, no police report has been filed in the case. It has left the state of investigation unclear. At the same time, no statement has been issued by any hotel staff or authorities. Moreover, there is no confirmation by the authorities in Chicago on whether they are continuing an investigation or not.

Tara Reid's shocking experience comes at an emotionally sensitive time after she recently parted ways with her long-term boyfriend, Nathan Montpetit-Howar. The couple who had been together for six years quietly ended their relationship around early November 2025. According to a source by Daily Mail, their romance had 'run its course' and began to feel 'bad' for her, making the actress walk away. Meanwhile, her friends shared that she has been gradually settling into a single life, appearing brighter as she continues to work and produce her films. In their words:

"Tara is not crying into her pillow at home. She is in a good place. I haven't seen her this happy in years,, and it really shows in her smile, the way she carries herself, and her energy. Everything about her is just lighter and brighter! I'm so proud of her."
