The Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari actress slammed the makers of such videos, calling them 'self-proclaimed doctors'. Janhvi Kapoor dismissed the claim of getting buffalo-plasty done as unfounded. She recalled:

"I saw this video the other day, some self-proclaimed doctors said: 'Let's do a review of everything this person has done to their face.' They said something like buffalo-plasty."

Janhvi explained that she decided to be transparent about the guidance she received from her late mother, Sridevi, on cosmetic procedures. She did so as a cautionary measure to prevent anyone from getting the procedure done by trusting the fake video. According to Jahnvi, the creation and spreading of such fabricated content can lead to various unfavorable situations. She warned her fans, saying:

"If a young girl sees a video like this and decides 'mujhe bhi ye buffalo-plasty karna hai,' and something goes wrong, that would be the worst thing ever."
