Making our world less bright and marking the end of an era, the brightest star of cinema, Dilip Kumar left for the heavenly abode on July 7, 2021. Dilip Kumar breathed his last at the age of 98 after prolonged health issues. It was his life and wife, Saira Banu, who was by his side throughout his journey. Dilip Kumar's death came as a piece of heartbreaking news for the entire nation and everyone on social media is posting eulogies as a mark of respect for the actor.

To announce the death of Dilip Kumar, his family friend, Faisal Farooqui tweeted on the actor's Twitter handle, "With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. – Faisal Farooqui." Dilip Kumar was hospitalised at the Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, a few days ago. Now, Saira Banu took Dilip Kumar to his home for the last time before his funeral at 5 pm.
As a eulogy for Dilip Kumar, Madhuri Dixit's husband, Dr Sriram Nene posted a throwback picture with the late actor and his wife, Saira Banu. The picture was taken at Madhuri and Sriram's wedding when Dilip and Saira attended the ceremony to bless the couple. The happy picture will surely leave you in tears but it is these memories now that we will have to cherish of the late actor.
Sriram Nene captioned the picture as "The world has lost a legend in the passing of Hindi cinema icon, Dilip Kumar-Ji. He was a giant among men. There will be a void left behind and we will all miss him. Our sincere condolences to Saira Banu-Ji and his family. #RIPDilipKumar."

Madhuri Dixit also posted throwback pictures with Dilip Kumar with the caption, "Every now & then some individuals come along who single-handedly alter the present & write history... One such legend was Dilip saab for the world of cinema. I was fortunate to have spent some time with him both on & off screen and I'll cherish those memories forever. Praying for the peace of his departed soul & my heartfelt condolence to the family. RIP."
It was Dilip Kumar's wife, Saira Banu, who literally and wholeheartedly fulfilled her wedding vow to be with her spouse 'in sickness and health'. In an interview with The Times Of India, Saira had once said, "It is out of love and not duress that I look after Dilip saab. I am not looking for praises to be called a devoted wife. Just to touch him and cuddle him is the world's best thing that's happening to me. I adore him and he is my breath itself."
