Koffee With Karan, season 8, has been grabbing a lot of attention lately. Not just for this season, Koffee With Karan has always been the centre of attraction as being there on the show, several actors and actresses make some juicy revelations or get somehow compelled to spill the beans about themselves. However, we know how KWK season 8's first episode with the arrival of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, grabbed a lot of limelight with the actresses' 'open relationship' comments.
Amid all these going on, people have been waiting for other Gen-Z couples to grace the show. Amid all these, let us tell you one story when Ranbir Kapoor, who is a regular on KWK, revealed that he actually got tired of KWK and even thought of protesting against the show.

It was back in 2017 when Ranbir Kapoor attended the AIB Podcast. During the interview, Ranbir Kapoor was asked whether he was tired of the show, Koffee With Karan. To this, Ranbir offered a straightforward reply and said that he was actually tired. Ranbir also mentioned that he was forced to join season 5 (2017) and revealed that he clearly said to Karan Johar that he didn't want to go there. Ranbir also mentioned that even he and Anushka Sharma were on the verge of protesting and bringing the whole industry together, as in their perspective, the show is only unfair. Ranbir said:
"I am. I was forced this season. I told him ‘I don’t wanna come’ and me and Anushka (Sharma, his co-star in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) were actually going to protest and bring the entire film industry together because it’s not fair.”

In the same conversation, Ranbir Kapoor also opened up about the backlash the actors have received for the revelations they make on the show. He said that Karan has been making money out of the actors from the industry, while for being on the show, the actors have to receive backlash in return. Ranbir said:
"He is making money out of us. We come and we get screwed through the year. And it’s not right."
Going further in the interview, Ranbir Kapoor also opened up about the problem with the show, Koffee With Karan. The actor stated that the main problem of the show is that actors and actresses are close to Karan Johar and they are really comfortable with the filmmaker, which is why they get chatty and don't even realise that a billion people are watching them and taking each word seriously. Ranbir mentioned:

"That’s the problem with Koffee With Karan. You know him so well that you are comfortable and chatting and you don’t realise that a billion people are watching and taking every word of yours so seriously.”

Back in 2010, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone graced the controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan, where they spilled some juicy revelations about their lives and also made some serious allegations against Ranbir Kapoor. For the unversed, while being on the show, Deepika revealed that Ranbir should endorse a condom brand, Sonam, on the contrary, stated her opinion that Ranbir might be a good friend, but she couldn’t consider him a great boyfriend.
However, later, Ranbir Kapoor, during an interview with Simi Garewal, was asked about the allegations that Sonam and Deepika made against him while being on KWK. Ranbir said that he was shocked to learn about their statements after the show aired, as he was present during the shoot of the particular episode. He also said that he was not much hurt by all of these.

While talking about Deepika, Ranbir said that he still respected the beautiful past relationship he shared with her. Moreover, he admitted all the angst she had against him and expressed how it would have been more graceful if she told these to him personally rather than on a public platform. Talking about Sonam's statement, Ranbir said that he didn't mind any of it.
