In an interview with CineBlitz magazine, Salman Khan had spoken about his relationship with his father, Salim Khan, revealing how it has changed over the years. Salman had said, "Nothing has changed since we were kids. We didn’t get to spend much time with him because he was working at that time. As we grew older, he went through a bad phase. From being known in the industry to suddenly getting no work for a long time was a very difficult time for him and he didn’t let us feel even once that it’s been four years and he doesn’t have any film, but then he started working again. Later I started working, so that closeness has always been there and now it’s more like a chilled out relation, he is like a friend. Now we all have friends like Sajid and many more if they come home and I am not there then they sit with him talk for hours, share drinks."
