Salman Khan is most lovingly referred to as the Bhaijaan of Bollywood. Apart from his amazing acting chops and handsome good looks, the actor is also known to be respectful towards people, especially towards his female co-stars. Proof of the same was found in an old video of him with his then-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, where his mindul protectiveness towards her won hearts.
In an old press conference of the IIFA Awards, Salman Khan was seen subtly hinting at Katrina Kaif to fix her plunging neckline dress as the duo sat on high chairs. After understanding his hint, the duo engaged in an adorable camraderie. However, what caught everyone's attention next was Katrina’s epic reaction to the gesture, where she chuckled gently, and Salman too smiled at her. This small gesture proved how women's safety and comfort are top most priority to Salman in his life.

While Salman and Katrina might have never accepted their relationship in public eye, but their visible camraderie often proved that they were simply more than just friends. Unfortunately, their relationship was short lived as the duo broke up and Katrina went on to get married to Vicky Kaushal. Years later, when the duo came together for the promotion of their film, Bharat on The Kapil Sharma Show, Salman for the first time gave an indirect hint that it was Katrina who broke up and left him. It so happened when the host, Kapil Sharma discussed Katrina Kaif's diet routine, Salman quipped in with a sassy reaction which hinted at his broken relationship with her. In his words:
“Inhone smoothie kya mujhe bhi chod diya
Whether a couple or not, Katrina and Salman have been the best of friends for the longest time. And proof of the same was found when during the promotions of her then film, Zero, Katrina had revealed how Salman would suddenly show up even if the duo was not speaking with each other for a long time. Calling it a bizzare kind of a thing, she mentioned:
"Salman is a dear friend, and the best, seemingly bizarre thing, is that we may not speak for weeks, even months. But during this period, if something happens to upset me, he will suddenly show up.”

Salman Khan's love life has been quite tragic as a result of which, he is till single at the age of 57. But, the bhaijaan has absolutely no regrets about the same and lives his life on his own terms. However, he once took a subtle dig about his failed relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif in the presence of Katrina's husband, Vicky Kaushal. Well, when the former graced the popular reality show, Bigg Boss to promote his film, he had asked Salman to recall any cheesy pick up line women might have used on him. To this, he mentioned that ironically, nobody ever picked him up and on the contrary dumped him. Well, nearly everyone was absolutely sure that this statement was specifically in reference to his past relationship with Katrina Kaif.
