Shoaib Malik surprised everyone with his recent marriage announcement. On January 20, 2024, the Pakistani cricketer announced via his official Instagram account that he had tied the knot with Pakistani actress, Sana Javed and penned, “Alhamdullilah. And we created you in pairs.” As soon as the collaborative post surfaced in the media, netizens started sharing their opinion and even inquired about what happened between Shoaib Malik and the Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza.
Before marrying Sana, the 41-year-old Pakistani cricketer was married to Sania. They got married in 2010 and welcomed their baby boy, Izhaan, in 2018. However, later reports emerged claiming that the couple was facing trouble in their paradise, but nothing was confirmed until Shoaib's latest post about getting hitched again. On January 21, 2024, Sania, too, via her sister, Anam Mirza, announced that she had divorced the Pakistani cricketer a few months back.

Recently, an old clip surfaced in the media where the former couple, Sania and Shoaib, were seen sharing the stage with the acclaimed Indian actor, Shah Rukh Khan. The clip appears to be from some award show and was shared on an Instagram page. In the clip, SRK was seen inquiring the tennis player why she hurriedly married Shoaib Malik. He asked, “Usme kya dikha aisa ki aapne jaldi se shaadi kar li. Khoobsurat hai, cricket bhi thik thak khel leta hai.” To this, Sania replied:
“Maine toh bohot kuch dekha hai inme, bohot shy hai, ye aapko sikhana padega inko thoda baat karna.”
After Sania finished replying, SRK quickly responded that he would adjust Shoaib and asked her not to worry. King Khan then proceeded to ask Shoaib the same question. He said, “Aur tumhe Sania ke baare mein kya accha laga, jo tumhe aise mohabbat ho gayi, pyaar ho gaya.” When SRK asked this to the Pakistani cricketer, he said:
“Sochne ka time nahi mila, usse pehle shaadi ho gayi.”
While the audience was seen laughing at Shoaib’s joke in the video, netizens have differing opinions on the post. One user wrote, “Felt really bad for her. Such a ditcher he is.” Another one commented, “His answer revealed that he just married her cause she is sania mirza and she actually loved him.” A third comment can be read as “Shy hoke 3 shadi kr li.”

After Shoaib Malik posted about his third nikah with Sana Javed, who has now changed her name to Sana Shoaib Malik, reports of his infidelity surfaced in the media. A senior Pakistani journalist and the Bureau Chief of Samaa TV, Naaem Hanif has revealed that Shoaib and Sana have been seeing each other for the last three years, when the cricketer was still married to Sania. And Sana, on the other hand, had just married the Pakistani singer, Umair Jaswal.
The newlyweds, Shoaib and Sana, first met on the show, Jeeto Pakistan, and the cricketer used to put forward conditions in front of the makers that he would appear in the show only if Sana was present. The Pakistani actress got divorced from Umair just three months before tying the knot with Shoaib. The latter’s family, especially his sisters, tried to save his marriage with Sania, but neither Shoaib was interested in making things right, nor was the Indian tennis player, as she was reportedly tired of Shoaib’s repeated infidelity.
