Vaani Kapoor is one of the most gorgeous actresses in Bollywood. She has always been a picture of good health and beauty, both on the silver screen and in her personal life. Right from her debut film, Shuddh Desi Romance, opposite late Sushant Singh Rajput, Vaani has been grabbing the limelight.
However, after her unusual look in the film, Befikre, many people started to believe that the actress had gone under the knife. From facing body shaming to the allegations of plastic surgery, Vaani faced a lot as an outsider in the industry. In an old interview with the Bollywood Bubble, Vaani had reacted to the trolls and revealed how severely she gets affected by the internet hate. In her words:
“I might not put my emotions out for everybody else to see. I am a normal human being at the end of the day and of course I do get affected. But the thing is when you put yourself on display, there are some sadistic people who would like to walk all over you again which is way I like to maintain that distance.”
Further, Vaani was asked how she put herself together again after facing so much hate on the internet. Answering this, Vaani had mentioned that she would never give up on her passion. The actress had also said that since her heart is pure, someday, people would connect with her. She had stated:
“Fair enough if they didn’t like me. I am not going to give up. I am anyways going to continue my work and do it with all my heart and I know sooner or later, there will be something. If your heart is in the right place, I think some day or the other people are going to connect and see it eventually for the right reasons.”
After the release of Befikre, the news of Vaani Kapoor’s alleged cosmetic surgery was all over the headlines. All of this started when people noticed Vaani’s puffy face in the film. Reacting to the false reports, in an interview with the Mid Day, Vaani had said that she was only one film old and couldn’t afford any surgery. Hence, the reports were fabricated. She had said:
“I have lost weight; my face is bound to look different. We shot in Paris when it was freezing; the cameras keep zooming in and out. The face looks different from different angles. I can’t afford surgery, I am only one film old.”
Earlier, Vaani had appeared on the show, Comedy Nights With Kapil, to promote the film, Bell Bottom. During the show, Kapil Sharma had body shamed Vaani by commenting on her weight. While playing a segment called ‘Post Ka Post-Mortem’, in which Kapil read out popular comments on the celebrity’s pictures, Kapil had made a mockery of Vaani's toned body.
During the segment, he had read out loud a fake comment to the audience. He had said to Vaani, “Bhains ka dudh piya karo, kafi kamzor lag rahi ho.” While everyone else had a good laugh, Vaani was evidently embarrassed.
