Where Is Khloe Wilson From 'Unknown Number' Now? Owen's Pal, Prime Suspect In Lauryn Bullying Case?

Netflix's Unknown Number The High School Catfish has shed light on the chilling cyberbullying case from Beal City, Michigan. It all started when a teenager, Lauryn Licari, and her boyfriend, Owen McKenney, were harassed by text messages. The texts became vile over time, but the shocking part was how Lauryn's mom, Kendra Licari, was behind it all. Amid this chaos, several teenagers related to Lauryn were caught in the storm.

Among them was Owen's longtime friend, Khloe Wilson, who became a prime suspect in the eyes of peers and police before being cleared. Here's what happened in her life after the trauma of the false suspicion 

Did Khloe Wilson play any role in cyberbullying Lauryn and Owen?

Khloe Wilson, who spent much of her childhood in the small town and built her identity around school sports suffered emotionally after the incident. Investigators questioned her, classmates whispered about her in hallways, and her friends even doubted her. Although she was fully cooperating with the authorities, giving them her phone, answering every question, her reputation was ruined. In the documentary, Khloe recalled how it was painful to know her name was taken among suspects when she had nothing to do with the harassment.

Khloe's ties to Owen made her a prime suspect for the police. The two had grown up together and were close friends until Owen began dating Lauryn. The duo's relationship brought distance between Khloe and Lauryn. When Lauryn received messages that seemed to reference conversations from basketball practice, it fueled the suspicion on Khloe. Lauryn herself named Khloe as someone who could be responsible, and that affected the latter and her family. At the same time, since her father was a police officer, there were rumours that she knew how to leave no traces of her crime. However, the theory was later dismissed by the police.

Where is Khloe Wilson now? 

When the authorities went through Khloe's devices and found no evidence against her, they cleared her name. Still, the damage was done. In Unknown Number, Khloe spoke about how the experience left her feeling isolated and wrongly judged. But she also showed how she chose to move forward. In May 2025, she graduated with her class at Beal City High School and signed with Montcalm Community College to continue her volleyball career. Along with the support of her parents, Craig and Tami, Khloe began a new chapter. She chooses to keep her private life away from the spotlight. At the same time, she focuses on her studies and her career in athletics. 

Why did Kendra Licari bully her daughter, Lauryn? 

The most shocking part of the case took place in December 2022 when investigators found out that Kendra was the true sender of the threatening texts. She pleaded guilty to stalking a minor and served prison time. Kendra was released in August 2024. In the documentary, she explained that her actions stemmed from her own trauma and a misguided desire to keep Lauryn close. However, her reasoning did little to ease the pain she caused. Lauryn, now 18, has grown up and shares a close bond with her father, Shawn. Meanwhile, her former boyfriend, Owen, has moved on, and he is no longer in contact with Lauryn.
