Max B, the Harlem rapper, was released from prison on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after serving approximately 16 years of a reduced sentence. He was greeted by friends and family, including longtime collaborator, French Montana, upon his release. Max B was convicted alongwith his ex-girlfriend, Gina Conway, and both of them were put behind bars for their role in a 2006 fatal hotel robbery. Now that Max B is out in the open after serving his jail term, curiosity has been sparked about where Gina Conway is and what she is up to.
Max B (born as Charly Wingate) and his ex-girlfriend, Gina Conway, faced charges in connection with a 2006 armed robbery at a Fort Lee, New Jersey, hotel that resulted in a death. Max B was initially charged with murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy, and aggravated assault. In 2009, he was found guilty of 9 out of 11 counts, including felony murder, and sentenced to 75 years in prison. He was charged as an accomplice, as he was not present at the hotel during the shooting, but was found to have orchestrated the plan.

In 2016, Max B's conviction was vacated due to an alleged conflict of interest involving his former lawyer. The rapper accepted a plea bargain and pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated manslaughter, which reduced his sentence to twenty years, making him eligible for earlier release. Max B's ex, Gina Conway, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and armed robbery in January 2009. She and the shooter, Kelvin Leerdam, agreed to testify against Max B as part of a plea deal. She was sentenced to fifteen years in prison, and Kevin received life imprisonment.

Gina Conway was supposed to be released from jail six years before her ex-boyfriend, Max B. If things had gone as expected, Gina Conway would have already been released from detention. She was set to be released in 2024, fifteen years after her being charged with manslaughter. Gina Conway's current location and activities are not publicly known. Following her sentencing in 2009, there has been no reportage on her. However, under normal circumstances, she is to return to her usual life following her release from prison, just like Max B is currently doing.

Max B has wasted no time getting back into public life and planning his return to music after completing his jail term. He was greeted by his longtime friend and collaborator, French Montana, as well as family and friends, in an emotional reunion that was shared on social media. Just hours after his release, Max B was seen at a New York Jets football game, where he also got a haircut. The rapper also shared social media posts hinting at a return to music, writing, "ITS TIME TO OPEN THE FLOOD GATES SEE YALL IN A FEW."
