Where Is Nick Reiner Now? Rob Reiner's Son Put On S**cide Watch After Allegedly Murdering Parents

Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner were found dead inside their LA home on December 14, 2025. The LAPD responded to a 911 call after the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, found her parents' dead bodies. Hours later, the police had arrested the couple's son, Nick Reiner, for the alleged murder. However, the question now is: where is he?

After the shocking double homicide of Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner, their daughter, Romy Reiner, called 911, claiming that it was her brother, Nick Reiner, who was "dangerous" and could be a suspect in the case. Later, when the police arrived at the home, Nick was nowhere to be found. After hours of searching, the police finally found Nick, and he has now been moved to a correctional facility.

According to reports by TMZ, a law enforcement source revealed that Rob Reiner's troubled son, Nick, has reportedly been placed on s**cide watch after his arrest for allegedly stabbing the famed director and his wife to death inside their Los Angeles home. Nick Reiner is currently being held in administrative segregation and on s**cide watch while behind bars at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. 

Where and when was Nick Reiner found?

According to reports, Nick Reiner was arrested on murder charges and is being held without bail after cops found the Spinal Tap director and his wife, Michele, stabbed to death in their Brentwood home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, (ET) afternoon. When the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, found their bodies, she told the police that Nick could possibly be behind the gruesome murders. However, when the police reached the location, he was nowhere to be found. 

For the unversed, Rob and Michele Reiner's son, Nick Reiner, has been in and out of rehab for his drug addiction and has faced mental health struggles over the years. According to an ABC News report, Nick allegedly left his parents' home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and traveled a short distance away, where he was ultimately located by police near the campus of the University of Southern California.

Authorities were able to locate Nick near the campus, and he was arrested on suspicion of murder at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025 (ET). In a statement to PEOPLE, the Los Angeles Police Department's public information officer confirmed that "the location of the suspect’s arrest was in the Exposition Park area near USC."

In another conversation with the New York Post, a source close to the family revealed that tensions between Rob Reiner and Nick Reiner had been high for a while. They shared that the former was concerned about his son's deteriorating mental health and feared for him. The source also recalled an incident that occurred just 24 hours before the tragedy. According to reports, Rob and Michele were reportedly found with their throats slashed. Rob and Nick got into some sort of fight at a holiday party hosted by Conan O'Brien on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The source was quoted as saying:

"Nick was supposedly off drugs, but then began hearing things, but he was not so much off them. Nick has been troubled mentally for his entire life, and they have tried everything to help him and have been unable to."
