Rimi Sen is best known for her work in films such as Hungama, Dhoom, Golmaal, Phir Hera Pheri, and Johnny Gaddar, among others. Rimi was a female lead in these movies back in the 2000s. There was a time when the actress was seen almost everywhere. Right from her ads in Coca-Cola with Aamir Khan to sharing screen space with Salman, she was one of the most well-known faces of Bollywood. However, as decades went by, Rimi's presence in movies became less. She did fewer movie appearances and then was away from the limelight. However, is Rimi now involved in the real estate space in Dubai?
Rimi Sen recently sat down for an interview with Buildcaps Real Estate LLC and revealed that Dubai has been welcoming her and others worldwide. She liked the fact that Dubai welcomed people from the movie background and shared that the real estate market here functions smoothly because there is discipline. In her words:
"You have to work only with agents and agencies. Developers do their work, agencies do their part, there is a proper system in place. In India, if you ask for two months’ brokerage, people look at you as if you have committed a cri**. Dubai has welcomed everyone warmly, there are mosques here, there are temples too. They think about everyone, and the city’s major focus is on how to make people’s lives better, easier, and more comfortable."

Rimi Sen, back in the 2000s, was a fresh face in Bollywood who captured the hearts of her fans with her charisma, beauty and also comic timing. Rimi was born as Shubhamitra Sen back in September 1981 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She was one of the most famous heroines of Bollywood before she made her debut with Hungama. Earlier in an interview with the Navbharat Times, Rimi confessed to spoiling her own career and shared:
"I ruined my own career. I take responsibility for the choices I made in my career. I could survive for a decade because of my former career as an actress and I will always respect that. People invite you for events and ribbon cuttings and actors get paid well. I could become a producer because of my film career, the work I did in my 20s. All of this was possible because I was a known face.”

Rimi earlier, in an interview with The Times of India, revealed that she quit Bollywood as she was done playing glamorous flower pots in films. It was boring to be used solely as a glamour prop or to be told to take a hankie and fake cry in the background while the hero took centre stage. Rimi also shared that she was a classical dancer, and acting came naturally to her. It was the only thing she knew how to do. In her words:
"I couldn’t finish my graduation so there were no jobs for me. I enjoyed acting but I was put off by the fact that actresses were solely used as a furniture in most commercial films back then. Today you see a blend of entertainment and meaningful content and people aren’t labelling actors or putting them in a box."

What are your views on Rimi Sen leaving Bollywood to be in the real estate space in Dubai?
