Where Is Overnight Railway Platform Sensation, Ranu Mondal? Dirty Home, No Food, Living In Garbage

Remember Ranu Mondal's rags-to-riches story? She rose to superstar stardom overnight with her singing at the railway station. With Maa Saraswati's blessing, she gained immense love and was lauded for her rendition of Lata Mangeshkar's classic songs. In fact, Bollywood composer, Himesh Reshammiya offered her work. But within few months of making her presence felt, she disappeared. 

Ranu Mondal is struggling to live 

Ranu Mondal, who rose to stardom in 2019, struggled to maintain her fame. Despite making her presence felt, she disappeared to the place where she came from. She was once invited as a guest to reality shows and was getting work opportunities in Mumbai, it all faded away as quickly as it came. 

According to the latest buzz, Ranu Mondal is struggling for basic necessities in her hometown in Ranaghat, near Kolkata. Recently, a YouTuber, Nishu Tiwari, whose channel focuses on the life of an overnight sensation, decided to meet Ranu. She was left shocked seeing Ranu Mondal's living condition.

The YouTuber showed how Ranu Mondal's home is in devastating condition with hygiene issues, trash scattered all over the floor, and insects crawling in various corners. Not only this, Ranu Mondal eats on a plastic sheet and is dependent on neighbours for food and other essentials. The YouTuber took some food for Ranu Mondal and she was delighted. Seeing the food items lying outside, Ranu Mondal stated that she didn't have a box, which is why they were scattered. 

Another highlight of the video was how Ranu was responding in English to the YouTuber's questions. Explaining her grasp of English, Ranu shared that she learnt it while living in Mumbai. After which, the YouTuber showed Ranu's home, which had crumbling walls, piles of garbage scattered everywhere, and junk all over the house.

Not only this, sources close to Ranu Mondal revealed that her mental health has suffered over the years. They even revealed that Ranu has shown erratic behaviour. She had bouts of laughter and agitation. Apart from struggling with mental health, she depends on others for daily expenses. Netizens were quick to express their disbelief. One user wrote, "I feel very very bad for Ranu Mondal. I can see the pain in her eyes she doesn't have anything to eat she is depending on others for food this made me cry and she is also mentally ill so please I request you to make next video by helping her." Another one penned, "Ranu is among the thousands in India quietly facing mental health challenges. I hope she receives the support and compassion she deserves. Please do not make fun of her."

Ranu Mondal rose to fame with her song

In 2019, Ranu Mondal made headlines after a video of her went viral. She was sitting at a railway station and singing a Lata Mangeshkar's super hit song, Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai. After this, she was signed by Himesh Reshammiya. She became an overnight sensation.

Ranu Mondal even appeared as a special guest on a reality show, and was even reportedly given a home in Mumbai. But within a few days of moonlight, she returned to her old life, and her condition has gotten worse as she struggles to even have food. In other words, she is forced into poverty. People who once wanted to help her doesn't know anything about her.
