WhistlinDiesel was arrested for tax evasion, but was later released

An X user took to his account and shared a screenshot of Cody's mugshot and his arrest record. The user claimed that the YouTuber known as WhistlinDiesel was arrested on charges of tax evasion. As per a TMZ report, he was booked into the Williamson County Jail, Tennessee. The arrest was reportedly made on November 11, 2025, and Cody was released a day later. According to the X user, the YouTuber was released on a bond of USD 2 million.

In the records, Cody's age was mentioned as 27, height around 6 feet, and green as eye colour. The records also noted his status as 'out of custody,' with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department as the reporting agency. After the records and mugshot went viral, people noticed that the bond set for the release was quite high at USD 2 million, prompting speculations that the crime must be serious. 

Did WhistlinDiesel burn the Ferrari, which is related to his tax evasion charges?

A TMZ report suggests that Cody is facing two felony charges of tax evasion over the purchase of a 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo. Reportedly, WhistlinDiesel still owed the sales tax for the luxury car purchased in 2023. However, many people speculate that the YouTuber has already set the Ferrari on fire. In 2023, Cody posted a video that showed a lavish car catching fire, which seems to be the same Ferrari. For the unversed, WhistlinDiesel is known to perform stunts with automobiles. 

Cody Detwiler confirms the news about his arrest and allegedly blames his accountant

Cody Detwiler confirmed on Instagram that he had been arrested and that the records and mugshot were real, not AI-generated. However, he also mentioned that he 'won so big'. Even though Cody did not discuss the alleged tax evasion charges, he has subtly hinted that his accountant is to blame. An Insta user had replied, "Blame the accountant", to another netizen asking if there were tax troubles. Cody had liked the comment that mentioned the accountant.

Amid the reports of tax evasion, there is a lot of curiosity among people to know the net worth of Cody/ WhistlinDiesel. As per a Hindustan Times report, his net worth is estimated at around USD 5 million. Reportedly, Cody also signed a contract and got on board with a talent agency known as Creative Artists Agency.
