Whitney Leavitt And Mark Ballas Reveal The Hate Mail They Received During 'DWTS', 'Burn In Hell..'

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast on November 26, 2025 (ET). The episode was filled with fun conversations between the duo and the host, reflecting on their journey on Dancing with the Stars, their lives, and their future plans. However, things got heavy when the podcast host, Alex Cooper, asked them about the hate mail they had received during and after the show.

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas reflect on the hate mail they received during Dancing with the Stars

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were eliminated during the semi-final of Dancing with the Stars, and while the fans were heartbroken over their departure, the trolls were thrilled. For the unversed, Whitney and Mark received widespread criticism for their stint on Dancing with the Stars. The duo was reflecting on the same, with Mark recalling how he could put his son to bed at night, and as soon as he opened his phone afterward, it would be filled with insensitive comments and the wildest videos of him and Whitney.

To this, the Call Her Daddy host, asked Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas if they could share some comments that got to them the most. It was Mark who shared that he could actually read her one. Mark took out his phone and read the comment, giving Alex the option to cut it out if she wanted. Mark was quoted as saying:

"I could read you one, actually. This is really heavy. You can edit it out if you want, but this is one that I just got randomly. This is after one of our dances, 'Are you that cheap of a c**t to rot and do this? Damn, you're special. You're completely worthless, and I hope you burn in hell one day.' That's just one of them, and they are relentless like that."

The comment left the room in absolute silence, the weight of it, so insensitive, visibly heavy between Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas. It was Alex Cooper who broke the silence, saying she could feel chills running through her body. She further admitted that it was horrible, especially over a show. Alex also slammed the "level of hatred" people have over the show. She repeatedly mentioned how it was not normal or healthy in any way, and fans watching the video agreed in the comment section.
