Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***Ds Of Bollywood, is making headlines every day. Ever since its release, the show has been in the news for multiple reasons. Whether it's taking an indirect jibe at celebrities or exposing the darker side of Bollywood, the show has been trending in the number 1 spot since its release. And it is the show’s twisted ending, which left everyone stunned.
At the end of the series, it is revealed that the protagonist, 'Aasman Khan', was the illegitimate son of 'Neeta Singh' and 'Ajay Talvar'. In the sequence, it was shown that 'Neeta', played by Mona Singh, had an affair with Bobby Deol’s character, 'Ajay Talvar', while she was struggling in Bollywood. But what struck a chord with the audience was Mona’s presence in the iconic song, Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, played at the climax of The Ba***Ds Of Bollywood.
As soon as the climax featuring Mona Singh in the song was dropped online, the audience searched for the song to figure out whether Mona Singh actually featured in the original video. However, it was Aryan Khan’s masterstroke. He used the actual song from the 1997 film and replaced one of the two main dancers with Mona Singh, utilising visual effects.
As we know, Mona Singh was not part of the actual song and was added using VFX. Then, who was the original dancer? It is none other than Bhanu Khan, the OG dancing queen of Bollywood, who has been featured in many cult Bollywood songs.
Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from Gupt was not the only song which featured Bhanu Khan. She has been featured in numerous popular dance numbers. She had featured with Aamir Khan in the chartbuster number, Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge from the 1996 film, Raja Hindustani. Her other popular dance numbers include Gutur Gutur from Dalaal (1993), Ram Kasam Mera Bada Naam Ho Gaya, with Sanjay Dutt from Gumrah 1993 and Doodh Ban Jaaoongi Malai Ban Jaaoongi from Sarhad.

Bhanu was once hailed as the queen of Bollywood dance. Despite being a background dancer, she got recognition for her effortless moves. Once the popular background dancers of the 1990s, nothing is currently known or available about her in the public domain.
Bobby Deol’s hit track, Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from the 1997 film, Gupt, is a cult song even after so many years. However, after the release of Aryan Khan’s The Ba***Ds Of Bollywood, there was a sudden surge in its viewership. According to a Hindustan Times report, the song has garnered more than 7 million new views since the series' release. The song, sung by Udit Narayan and composed by Viju Shah, gained popularity on Spotify and Instagram over the weekend.
In a throwback interview with Bollywood Hungama, Bobby Deol spoke about filming the cult song, Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela. He stated that he used to practice the song extensively, and since there were no air conditioners at the studios back then, he would often end up drenched in sweat. Talking about its popular step, he said:
“I had an accident on the former’s last day, so Chinni and Rekha Prakash Ji made those hand movements of mine, which became popular as ‘Bobby Deol’s style.”
