None of her parents came; instead, it was her younger brother, Amritesh Mittal, who entered the Bigg Boss house and gave her a tight hug. Amritesh Mittal is Tanya Mittal's younger brother and an integral part of their family's business in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. During his visit to the Bigg Boss 19 house, he brought her gifts and news regarding her family. Amritesh reportedly brought a special token of love for Tanya from their grandfather– his shawl. According to obnews, Amritesh was also supposed to bring baklava, the one food item whose popularity has skyrocketed in India because of Tanya. However, the showmakers didn't allow him to take the sweet inside the house, so he gave his sister a silver bottle instead.

Tanya's brother's presence and statements on BB19 rekindled the discussion of their family's wealth. She asked Amritesh to tell the housemates, particularly Shehbaz Badesha, that whatever she had said about her family's affluence was true. Amritesh initially refused, saying she didn't need to prove anything to anyone; however, on Tanya's insistence, he told Shehbaz that the Mittal family actually owned factories that made solar panels, generators, and more. The main controversy surrounding Amritesh Mittal centres on allegations from a former employee, Vishvam, who claimed that Amritesh threatened him and his family. This incident occurred after the ex-employee created satirical content online about Amritesh's sister, Tanya Mittal. Vishvam shared the alleged incident during an interview with TV Window's Heena Kumawat. The ex-employee claimed that Amritesh first called him, attempting to arrange an in-person meeting. When he refused, Amritesh allegedly began issuing threats and claiming connections to politicians and legal entities.

The ex-employee further claimed that Amritesh later arrived outside his home with other some of his men and threatened to kill him. Vishvam then lodged a Non-Cognizable (NC) complaint with the police regarding the threats. He also provided an audio recording of his alleged phone conversation with Amritesh, along with a copy of the police complaint, as evidence. The controversy gained significant media attention due to Tanya Mittal's participation in Bigg Boss 19.
