Indian hip-hop is loved and appreciated worldwide, thanks to renowned Indian rappers like Sidhu Moosewala, Honey Singh, Badshah, Raftaar, and many more. They are the OGs of rapping in India and started making their own music when classical singers dominated the industry. Indian rapping industry proves how change can be brought if you have talent within you. One such rapper who is dominating global music these days is Hanumankind. Just like his unique name, he is winning the hearts of people across the world.
Hanumankind, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, is winning hearts with his rap number, Big Dawgs. The song has surpassed Kendrick Lamar's track, Not Like Us. According to Spotify's global chart, Hanumankind's song is trending at number one. The music video was directed by Bijoy Shetty and produced by Kalmi of Brown Crew Productions. The trendsetter song has iconic stunt scenes with stunning visuals, as it was shot in Ponnani, Kerala.
In an interview with Radio One International, Hanumankind revealed that his hit song, Big Dawg took him just twenty minutes. They recorded the in another twenty minutes. He was quoted as saying:
"Probably about like 20 minutes of just writing and going recording it another like 20 minutes and then really then and it was like of course it's like shaping up in the end of it but like when we made the song initially was like Comey made the beat and like in 15 20 mins."
Sooraj Cherukat, who chose a unique stage name, 'Hanumankind', was born in Malappuram, Kerala. In one of his podcast interviews, Sooraj revealed that his name includes Lord Hanuman, but it has no connection with the Hindu deity, despite the fact that he comes from an extremely spiritual family.
Hanumankind spent his early years in Houston, Texas, where he attended Houston Community College. In 2012, he came back to India and did a business course in Coimbatore. Hanumankind's father worked in the oil sector, so he travelled to countries like Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Italy. However, he spent most of his childhood in the US.

Talking about Hanumankind's journey into hip-hop music, he made his debut with the EP Kalari. However, he gained a lot of recognition with his second project, Surface Level with Kalmi. He is currently the leading name in Indian hip-hop. His tracks such as Genghis, Rush Hour, and Go To Sleep.
For the uninitiated, Hanumankind was born on October 15, 1992. At the age of 32, his net worth is around USD 3 million, which, if converted to INR, turns out to be Rs. 25 crores. He started his music career as a hobby and would often perform open mics.
