He alleged that since 2017, Mary Kom had been in a relationship with her business partner, Hitesh Choudhary. Onler also claimed that she previously had an affair with a junior boxer in 2013, which caused family conflicts. According to Onler, Mary eventually ended the 2013 affair for the sake of their family, specifically their children. However, she allegedly cheated on her ex-husband for the second time with Hitesh, leading to their divorce in December 2023. According to Mary Kom's ex-husband, Onler's latest January 2026 interview with Hindustan Times, their children knew about their mother's alleged affair. Onkholer, better known as Onler, mentioned the impact of the issue on them. Onler claimed that their oldest children were aware of the situation and were "heartbroken" and "very unhappy" with their mother's alleged affair. According to him, one of the twins even wanted to beat up the alleged lover of their mother. However, it was Onler who asked him to calm down and not take such drastic steps. He said he has taught the kids to hold on to the good memories they have of their parents, rather than the bitterness between the ex-couple in the later part of their marriage. Onler Kom's exact words were:

"I met my oldest kids recently. We spent some time together. They were heartbroken and very unhappy with their mother's alleged affair. One of them said they wanted to beat up the man. I told them to let go and focus on the happy things and memories. And that I will always be here for them, no matter what. That I would always be their father."

What were Mary Kom's allegations against her ex-husband, Onler?

Mary Kom has accused her ex-husband, Onler, of financial fraud and betrayal, which she claims led to their divorce in December 2023. The former boxer claimed that Onler "never earned a penny" himself and lived entirely off her earnings from her boxing career. She alleged he withdrew Rs. 10 lakh (USD 1 million) from her account without her consent in 2022, while she was recovering from an injury. Mary also accused her ex-husband of transferring properties and assets worth several crores into his own name without her knowledge and taking out loans by mortgaging her property. She stated that the financial cheating shattered her trust and was the primary reason for the breakdown of their marriage. In a recent interview with India TV, Mary stated:

"He [Onler] was not even earning a rupee. Kuch bhi nahin, kahan sacrifice kiya? Subah shaam sotaa rehta tha...He was living on a girl's earnings; I felt very sad. I was earning so much, all my beliefs and trust were there. Later, I found out my account was nearly empty."
