Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who always entertained audiences with her vibrant personality, left the netizens stunned after she opened up about a frightening health scare. She recently took to her TikTok handle and shared a video, where the Jersey Shore star tearfully revealed that she has been dealing with precancerous cervical cells for nearly four years. Consequently, after undergoing a colposcopy and biopsy, her doctor informed her that cancerous cells were found on the top of her cervix. 

Nicole admitted through her tears that she is terrified to undergo a cone biopsy under anesthesia, but would do so for the sake of her husband and children. Who is Jionni LaValle?

Jionni LaValle hails from New Jersey and generally stays out of the media glare, despite being married to one of the most popular reality TV stars. He was raised in a sports-loving family and served as a varsity wrestler at Hanover Park High School. Jionni's family is deeply connected to wrestling as his brother, nephew, and even his son, Lorenzo, have followed in the sport. Before he met Nicola, Jionni had intended to be a teacher. Alongside this, he was initially uncomfortable about the media attention he received after their relationship became public, and he now leads a private life. 

Over time, Jionni had built his own path. He has ventured into contracting and later starred alongside Nicole in the 2016 home renovation show, Nicole & Jionni's Shore Flip. The series followed the couple as they repaired storm-damaged homes along the Jersey Shore after Hurricane Sandy. Apart from TV, Jionni is a businessman and an avid sports fan. He is frequently spotted supporting the New York Yankees and Miami Dolphins. Jionni has repeatedly expressed that he prefers a private life and chose not to appear on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation when Nicole returned to the show.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jionni LaValle began dating during the Season 3 of Jersey Shore at the nightclub Karma. Ironically, she later admitted on Larry King Now that she initially "hated" him. But meeting him frequently changed her mind. Later, in an interview with People in 2011, she recalled that after she realised he was "the one" for her, she wanted to marry him, and Jionni popped the question in March 2014. Eventually, the couple tied the knot on November 29, 2014, in a Great Gatsby-themed wedding in New Jersey. Several of her co-stars ncluding JWoww and Pauly D, attended the ceremony.

Together, Nicole and Jionni have built a close-knit family. Their first child, Lorenzo Dominic, was born in 2012, followed by a daughter, Giovanna Marie in 2014. Later, they welcomed another son, Angelo James, in 2019. Nicole often shares glimpses of their family life on social media, from Disney trips to cozy movie nights at home. In 2024, she told how they unwind after the kids go to sleep with wine, charcuterie boards, and scary movies.

After building a strong family, Nicole's health scare has been an emotional blow for her. In her new TikTok video, she explained that if the upcoming biopsy results remain concerning, she may have to undergo a hysterectomy. Although she is done having children, the thought of the procedure feels sad and scary to her as a woman. But she has decided to do whatever it takes to get well and be with her kids.
