Reality TV star Mia Thornton has been making headlines again, but this time it has nothing to do with Bravo drama. The Real Housewives of Potomac alum was recently booked for stealing a television and furniture worth thousands of dollars from a condo she was renting in Georgia. On November 19, 2025 (ET), Thornton was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport after police discovered an active warrant connected to an alleged furniture theft.
As we await more updates about the shocking arrest, here’s everything to know about the former RHOP star’s life, with a closer look at her allegations and the million-dollar empire she built before the furniture theft scandal.

According to police reports, a property management company contacted authorities after the owner of an Atlanta condo discovered that furniture and a television were missing. The building manager told CBS that The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Mia Thornton had “moved out of the unit in the middle of the night” on October 28, 2025, without notice. They accused the reality TV star of stealing several pieces of furniture, including the mounted TV, with the missing items valued at roughly USD 11,000.

According to reports circulating online, police at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport arrested RHOP alum Mia Thornton after being called to the Customs and Border Protection office. According to CBS News, officers arrived and were told that a “wanted individual” was present at the airport. A police report obtained by the local CBS outlet alleges that Thornton stole several pieces of furniture from a condo she had been renting in the area.

Thornton was accused of taking thousands of dollars’ worth of items and was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, on felony theft charges. Sources confirmed the arrest to Page Six. The Police body camera footage showed Mia Thornton telling police that she was aware she had a warrant out for her arrest. When contacted for a statement, Thornton did not respond. As of now, the Fulton County Sheriff's Department has also not issued any further statement on the matter.

2025 has been a year of changes for Thornton. In April 2025, the reality TV star announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Potomac after four seasons and moved to Atlanta for what she called a “new beginning”. Besides relocation, the reasons behind her decision reportedly included mounting personal conflicts and a lack of support from her castmates, leading her to want to leave the drama.

The RHOP alum announced her departure on Instagram, confirming that she won’t be returning for the next season. In a post dated April 21, 2025, Mia announced that each season brought a “new beginning” and that she was now entering a new phase of her life with an expanded business empire. The entrepreneur wrote:
"With every new season comes a new beginning, and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ next season. I don’t just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded."
Before her rise to fame on Bravo as a reality TV star, Mia Thornton was already an established name in the business world. A self-made businesswoman, she built her career from the ground up, beginning with a certification in neuromuscular massage therapy from Southeastern Institute. Starting as a clinic director in Charlotte, North Carolina, she eventually entered a five-year partnership with a major Fortune 500 company.

From thereon, Mia went on to own multiple Massage Envy franchises across the U.S., and to operate multiple locations of The Joint Chiropractic across North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New York. In 2023, Thornton launched The House of MiaMOR, a luxury beauty and lifestyle brand that focuses on beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products. Her company’s mission is to help women build and own their businesses.

Thornton is a multimillionaire businesswoman who has built a prominent business empire with her multiple ventures. According to Stylecaster, her current net worth is estimated at USD 5 million, thanks to her chain of chiropractic clinics, which she owns with her ex-husband, Gordon. In addition, her lifestyle brand, The House of MiaMOR, her beauty brand, Amilleon London, and her investments also significantly contribute to her rising wealth.
Though she is @mrsmiathornton on Instagram, she is reportedly no longer married to Gordon Thornton. The former spouses married in 2012 and eventually became co-owners of The Joint Chiropractic. They are parents to two children, a son, Jeremiah, and a daughter, Juliana. She also has an older son, Joshua, from her previous relationship. Mia and Gordon formally separated in June 2023 after 11 years of marriage, but they continue to co-parent all three kids and have remained close friends and business partners.
Regarding Mia’s personal life, she was recently romantically linked to singer Bobby Valentino after the two were spotted together in Atlanta in August 2025, as reported by BravoTV.

Thornton left her reality TV career behind, announcing that her “empire has expanded” and that Atlanta would be the home of her next big moves. However, with a felony theft arrest now attached to her name, her reboot journey has encountered an unexpected challenge. As she navigates this serious legal trouble, fans wonder if this could overshadow everything she has built all these years.
Well, whether Mia Thornton’s arrest becomes a turning point will depend on how the next chapter unfolds. But one thing is certain: her life at this point isn’t the kind she promised herself when she moved to Atlanta.
