Popular journalist, Palki Sharma Upadhyay has been leading the headlines ever since Operation Sindoor. She is one of the most prominent journalists, who has been covering major events of every news. Born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Sanket Upadhyay is the son of a renowned Indian journalist, Madhuker Upadhyay, who worked at Hindi BBC Radio in London and Delhi. He also worked as a professor at National Tribal University. After his school from DPS, Sanket graduated with a BA in Journalism from Delhi University.
After completing his education, Sanket began his career as a staff writer in Hindustan Times in 2003. His wife, Palki Sharma also worked in the same designation as him. In 2005, Sanket joined NDTV as a Correspondent. He later assumed the role of Lucknow bureau head for NDTV's English channel. In 2008, he joined Times Now as the Deputy News Editor and worked there for six years.
After getting out from the Times group in 2014, Sanket joined Network 18 Media and Investment as Deputy Executive Editor and hosted the popular 7 pm show, The Big Debate. His precision and to-the-point remarks made him one of the leading names in the media. In 2019, Sanket had a second stint with NDTV, where he joined as a Consulting Editor.

Sanket Upadhyay is loved for his accurate reporting and his proficiency in both Hindi and English. His enthusiasm as a journalist led him to cover diverse events like elections and natural disasters. He also anchored the popular show, NewsHour.
When Sanket began his second innings with NDTV, he became a popular face on all the channels of NDTV. He hosted the Hindi debate, Muqabala along with the English debate show, The Big Fight. He also anchored the prime-time show, Khabaron Ki Khabar. In 2023, Sanket who worked as a Consulting Editor at NDTV, resigned from his position and announced the news through his X handle. Sanket thanked his viewers for their love and criticism. Announcing his departure, Sanket tweeted:
“My exciting second stint in NDTV will soon come to an end. This one is special. I shall have a new professional address. Soon.”
In December 2023, Sanket co-founded The Red Mike, a digital platform along with Sunil Saini and Saurabh Shukla. With 946K subscribers, the digital platform aims to revive authentic journalism with meaningful content. In an interview with a leading digital portal, Sanket revealed the motive behind launching The Red Mike and said that he and his fellow journalists want to convey their thoughts freely without any big channels. Since their audience too wanted them to share their voices, they thought of launching The Red Mike.
Sanket and Palki began their journalistic careers at the same time. The duo got married in 2008, and the couple has a daughter too. There have been reports that the couple is no longer together and has parted ways. However, no other information about the couple is available currently.
