According to a report by IMDb, Sandipta Sen is a popular Bengali actress. Reportedly, she was born in August 1986, in Calcutta, West Bengal. She worked majorly in Bengali TV serials, web series and films. Some of her hit projects include Astey Ladies, Durga, Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni, Bhuto Purbo and more. 

If reports are to be believed, she has also won several awards, including a Tele Academy Awards. Apart from this, Sandipta is also a classical dancer. According to TOI, she is trained in Odissi, Western and Bollywood. In 2019, she opened up about her dancing passion and shared, "In serials like Durga and Tapur Tupur, there were many dance sequences, but they weren't enough for me. I dearly miss dancing."

During a conversation with Ananda Bazar Patrika in 2021, when Sandipta Sen was asked about his equation with Rahul Banerjee, the actress slammed reports and shared that the audience loved their on-screen chemistry and misinterpreted it to be a real-life romance. When Sandipta was questioned if she was the reason behind Rahul and Priyanka’s divorce, she shared:

"All I can say is that Rahul is a very good friend of mine. I've always been by his side, and I've always been by his side. I can't control what anyone thought. Last year, Priyanka and I worked together in a music video. Maybe he is not a very good friend of mine. But when we meet, we talk, we laugh at each other."

Sandipta Sen is married to Soumya Mukherjee

After years of intense rumours involving Sandipta and Rahul, the actress surprised everyone by getting married to Soumya Mukherjee. In December 2023, the actress took to her Instagram handle to share some dreamy snaps from the ceremony. In the first photo, Soumya could be seen filling Sandipta's maang with sindoor. Along with that she shared some cutesy photos with her husband, in which she was holding Soumya's hands. For the big day, Sandipita opted for a pink-coloured silk saree that featured golden threadwork. Talking about Soumya, he is an entreprenuer and according to his Instagram handle, he is the Chief Operating Officer at Hoichoi TV.
