He revealed to his fans that he had 'almost died' and is now focused on the road to recover. The singer admitted that his unhealthy habits over the years have affected his body, and he is presently undergoing treatment for the same. Amid the difficult situation, he revealed that his sister, Brandy, stepped in to help him deal with the phase. Who is Ray J's sister, Brandy Norwood?

William Raymond Norwood Jr, a.k.a. Ray J, has revealed that his heart condition was found after he was hospitalised in Las Vegas at the beginning of January 2026 for pneumonia and chest pain. Although he did not share the exact medical report, he revealed that his heart's capacity to work has reduced, which could be serious in the near future. Along with the revelation, he expressed his gratitude to his older sister, Brandy Norwood, for standing by him.

Brandy is a Grammy-winning R&B singer. She is known for delivering hits, including I Wanna Be Down and The Boy Is Mine. She has reportedly been accompanying Ray J to doctor visits. Moreover, she is managing the expenses of his treatment while he focuses on healing. According to Ray J, she has taken charge of ensuring he gets the care he needs during this difficult period. He called her his "rock" and credited her for being by his side. For those unaware, Brady and Ray J have a close relationship and often publicly support one another.

Ray J's health updates have also brought attention back to his complicated marriage with Princess Love. The couple first met on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. Soon, they fell in love and married in August 2016. Despite filing for divorce multiple times over the years, they are still legally married. Princess had filed for a divorce for the fourth time in February 2024, yet they continue to co-parent and stay connected through it. For those unaware, Princess Love is a model and reality TV personality. She shares two children with Ray J: daughter, Melody Love, born in May 2018, and son, Epik Ray, born in January 2020.
