In the year 2014, she met with a car accident, and doctors found a non-cancerous tumour on her brain, which was later removed. Kelsey Swanson is dating a man who is reportedly one of the most popular names in Rhode Island. Though she has not yet revealed the identity of the man, she calls their relationship ‘unorthodox’. In an interview, Kelsey revealed that she has been dating her boyfriend for ten years and has been open and honest with him.

Speaking to Swoon, Kelsey shared details about her boyfriend, saying she met him at a tanning salon where her friend worked. The salon was owned by Kelsey’s boyfriend’s best friend. Kelsey met him at the salon to see her friend. Soon, at the salon owner's party, she met him again. Talking about the same, she shared:

“I think we made out for two hours straight, and the rest was history. Maybe two months later, he was like, ‘Wanna go to London? Wanna go to Spain?’ And I’m like, ‘Sure!’ Been together ever since.”

In the same interaction on Swoon, Kelsey talked about the significant age gap with her boyfriend and shared that he is 23 years older than she is. But she also mentioned that her boyfriend is well-groomed and is very handsome. In her words:

“He’s very handsome. This isn’t some, like, I’m dating an old, disgusting man. He is very attractive. He takes care of himself. He’s active. He’s, like, 25 at heart.”

Kelsey met her boyfriend when she was 20; while he was 43. The two had been together for ten years. Apart from being 23 years older than her, he is also a father of three. Kelsey revealed that out of his three children, two were three years younger than her. She also revealed sharing a comfortable bond with her boyfriend’s children and said:

“One of them got married in September 2024, and I did her makeup for her wedding. We are totally fine. As they got older and I got older, it just grew normal, and they didn’t care.”
