According to India Today, he has been associated with the hospitality and travel sector, reportedly serving as a partner and service executive at Blueground before joining BCD Travel as a Projects and Assignments executive. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has studied at Kingston University. However, it is not confirmed whether the profile belongs to the same Rohan linked to Rohan or not.

In regard to family background, Rohan hails from a wealthy family with film connections. He is reportedly the great-grandson of legendary filmmaker, Bimal Roy, the visionary behind classic hits such as Do Bigha Zamin, Devdas (1955), Parineeta, and Sujata. His mother, Chimoo Acharya, is the daughter of filmmaker, Basu Bhattacharya and Rinki Roy Bhattacharya. Needless to say, he is part of one of India's most respected families in the film industry. Moreover, Rohan's sister, Drisha Acharya, is married to actor, Sunny Deol's son, Karan Deol. Consequently, Rohan is indirectly linked to the Deol family, adding an unexpected Bollywood twist to their bond.

The families reportedly interacted frequently during gatherings, which allegedly led to Anisha and Rohan growing closer to each other over time.
