Tom Ackerley was born and raised in the U.K. He began his journey in the entertainment industry as an extra in the first three Harry Potter films. He restarted his journey in showbiz by taking on roles as a floor runner, production assistant, and eventually assistant director. According to the British Film Institute, he has gradually built a career supporting some of the most acclaimed film projects in recent years. Recalling how Tom worked as an extra, Margot told on The Graham Norton Show
