The highly anticipated final episode of The Celebrity Traitors has finally aired in the UK, and the show’s first-ever champion is here! The highly anticipated first season came to a dramatic end after what fans are saying might be one of the most dramatic twists in the history of reality television. While mind games, deception, and betrayal were expected, nothing could have prepared fans for the explosive final vote that flipped the entire game at the final moment.
As the highly streamed reality show headed into its last episode, the final lineup of contestants included Traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr, and Faithfuls Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, and David Olusoga, all competing for a massive 87,500 GBP prize for charity. In a huge winning moment for the Faithfuls, Cat Burns was exposed and banished early in the episode. However, the contestants and viewers were not prepared for what would come next.

Though it seemed like the start of a Faithful comeback, only moments later, the group made a devastating misalculation. The Faithfuls were convinced Joe Marler was the final traitor and banished him, only to realise their huge mistake. Now, with only three players left, the fate of the game was sealed. However, the biggest twist was yet to come!

With Barns and Marler out of the way, the remaining trio, including Alan, Nick, and David, were given a final choice: end the game together or attempt one final banishment. All three chose to end the game together, convinced that they were all Faithfuls.

However, in a jaw-dropping twist no one had anticipated, the decision handed the entire prize pot not to three but to one player — the last-standing Traitor! It was Alan Carr, who delivered the shocker, stepping forward as he declared:

“I am, and have always been a Traitor.”
This explosive twist left everyone present gasping for air. Nick Mohammed covered his mouth in shock, Olusoga froze, and Alan burst into tears as his identity finally came out. With this tearful reveal, the 49-year-old comedian bagged the entire prize money, which he has confirmed will go to a children’s cancer charity for neuroblastoma.

Alan just proved he is much more than the comedic persona whose own agency admitted they weren’t sure he would survive the season. With this jaw-dropping revelation, the comedian just proved his masterful deception, making him the undisputed standout of the season. Speaking about Carr’s massive win, Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed admitted:
“Alan Carr. He played an absolute blinder.”
And with that, the beloved comedian walked away as the first-ever Celebrity Traitors champion, beating the Faithfuls at their own game! The final episode is now available for streaming in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
