Why Did 'Harry Potter Star, Jessie Cave Feel 'Gross' About Being On OnlyFans? 'Don't Like Being...'

Harry Potter fame, Jessie Cave, who played 'Lavender Brown' in the movies, was recently barred from a fan convention. The reason for this might be baffling to some, as it was to the actress herself. The convention organisers decided not to include her in the event because she has an OnlyFans page. They told her that the decision was made because "it's a 'family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with p*rn'". Amid the controversy, her comment regarding feeling grossed out and also scared of the people in the app has surfaced.

Why did Jessie Cave join OnlyFans?

38-year-old actress, Jessie Cave, used OnlyFans to post non-explicit, hair-focused content on her OnlyFans page. She had emphasised that her content is for a 'niche' audience who have a hair fetish like her and it does not contain any s*xual material. Jessie's decision to join the platform was driven by a need 'to get out of debt' and fund home renovations. She had described it as a way to 'empower' herself and finance her artistic work, such as writing and also invest in 'self-love'. She shared the same on her Substack account, which can be read as:

"One year. I'll try for one year. My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I'm not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love."

Why did Jessie Cave start feeling uncomfortable being on OnlyFans?

Things were looking fine for Jessie Cave's OnlyFans venture until she started attracting strange people on the app. She felt 'gross' and 'scared' by her experience, primarily due to receiving unwanted explicit messages despite her page being focused on non-sexual hair content. She continued to receive 'nasty' and 'lurid' messages and unsolicited pictures of male genitalia, as shared by her on her Substack account. The actress felt pressured to post more s*xualised content to maintain her subscribers.

For instance, she once made a video sp*nking her back with her plaits after receiving a subscriber request. However, Jessie lost followers who specifically requested n*dity. Although she initially felt 'hurt and upset' when she lost subscribers, she ultimately viewed their departure as a positive development. She also opened up about her 'sense of shame' regarding her inability to financially support herself, even after being in the film industry for 18 years. It led her to resort to OnlyFans, where she found herself in an unwanted situation. Sharing her experience on Substack, she wrote:

"I am receiving too many lurid messages and don't like being sent unsolicited d***s. No matter how many times I say I am not doing s*xual content, I get a message within two seconds asking to see c*m in my hair or if I would just please f***ing consider full frontal."

Jessie Cave's OnlyFans account once again put her in an unwanted situation

Recently, Jessie Cave faced another unwanted incident for being on OnlyFans. She was removed from a Harry Potter fan convention, despite playing a pivotal character in some movies of the franchise. Her character was particularly memorable for having an unrequited love towards 'Ron Weasley' and serving as a catalyst for his relationship with 'Hermione Granger'. However, she missed being a part of the event because the convention organisers didn't want an OnlyFans creator to be involved in a 'family show'.

She used her Substack account to let her fans know about it. Jessie pointed out the hypocrisy of the decision, noting that many actors who attend such conventions have performed s*x scenes and filmed n*de content for films and television shows. While all she did was play with her hair on her OnlyFans page.
