They have even listed October 17 as their date of separation. For those unaware, the duo share a six-year-old son, Shams, and Mercedes has sought her primary custody. According to E! News, Mercedes has requested sole legal and physical custody of Shams and asked the court to deny spousal support for both parties. Inside sources claim that the pair had ‘drifted apart’ due to differences in priorities and lifestyle.
