Though she didn’t reveal the face of the man she will marry, she confirmed in one of her interviews that he is a businessman. Earlier, Pavitra was in a steady relationship with actor Eijaz Khan, and the two were head-over-heels in love with one another. The former couple once shared that they were ‘as good as married’. Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan met on the reality show, Bigg Boss 14 and fell in love. Their on-screen chemistry, emotional moments made them one of the most talked-about couples on the show. They continued their relationship after the show ended and often treated their fans with droolworthy pictures of each other.

Eijaz even introduced Pavitra to his family and made their relationship public. By 2022, the duo even claimed that they were ‘as good as married’ although they hadn’t officially tied the knot. The duo were head-over-heels in love with each other, and it was certain that the two would begin their forever soon.

What led to Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan’s breakup?

In 2023, there were faint rumours about trouble in Eijaz and Pavitra’s paradise, but none of them confirmed it. However, in February 2024, the duo confirmed their breakup. However, reports suggested that religion was the major reason behind their breakup.

In the official statement, Eijaz's spokesperson also revealed that religion was never a criteria in their relationship. In his words:

“Religion was never the criteria in their relationship, but somehow it is being dragged now that it is over. In the interview, when Pavitra was asked if religion was one of the major reasons for their breakup and she categorically said, ‘No, absolutely not. Religion was never any problem,’ and that she had herself said in the beginning of their relationship that she will not convert. Now, only the part about conversion is being used, and the rest has been omitted." 

Pavitra Punia revealed the reason behind her breakup with Eijaz Khan

In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Pavitra Punia opened up about the real reason that led to everything falling apart in her three-year-long relationship with Eijaz Khan. Pavitra revealed that the two of them had extremely different thought processes and viewpoints, which never matched. She also mentioned that the two of them kept on working on their differences all throughout the three years.

However, since things never fell back into place, she didn’t find enough reason to continue with a relationship that doesn’t have any future. In her words:

“Teen saal aap try karte ho. Bhaag thodi na jaate hai situations ke saath. So we were trying. It didn't work out. Why to get into a relationship, jisme aage chalkar aur bhi complications ho sakte hai. Woh cheez behter hai ki woh cheez khatam.”

Pavitra Punia once took a dig at Eijaz Khan with a ‘narcissist’ remark

In one of the interviews post her breakup with Eijaz Khan, Pavitra stated that if a person is trying to suppress a woman, then that person is no doubt a narcissist, and thus, that lady shouldn't stay with him. While she didn't call Eijaz a 'narcissist' directly, the reference she gave left people wondering if it was an indirect dig.
