Why Is Brooklyn Beckham Not Reconciling With His Family? And It Is Not Because Of Nicola Peltz

The Beckham family feud has been the center of attention in the media and among fans for months now. But the bigger part of the story is that it seems there is still no end in sight for it. Brooklyn Beckham was again noticeably absent from his mother, Victoria Beckham's, Netflix docuseries premiere earlier this month. It has further fueled the rumours of an ongoing rift between the Beckham family and their eldest son. Although the family continues to remain silent on the issue, insider reports suggest that Brooklyn is not ready to reconcile, and surprisingly, it has little to do with his wife, actress, Nicola Peltz, who was termed as the cause for the feud.

Why is Brooklyn Beckham ‘not interested’ in reconciling with his family? 

According to Us Weekly, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have no interest in reconnecting with the Beckham family right now. A source told the outlet that the couple is focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life together. They have built their own world separate from their family and are happy with it. Moreover, the insider explained that the couple wants to settle things naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense. The source also noted that Brooklyn, 26, has limited communication with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and brothers Romeo and Cruz. It highlighted that the relationships are still strained between them. In the source's words:

“They’ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.”

The tension between the family reportedly deepened when Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in May. Page Six reported that Brooklyn had informed family members he wanted no contact with them for the time being. Some rumours suggested that there was a fallout between Brooklyn and his younger brother Romeo Beckham, allegedly over Romeo’s then-girlfriend Kim Turnbull, who was falsely linked to Brooklyn years earlier. However, Kim clarified the rumors on Instagram, stating that she and Brooklyn “were never romantically involved in any capacity.” The outlet tried to reach the couple for comments but received no reply.

What did Brooklyn Beckham say about his feud with his family? 

Amid the ongoing speculation, Brooklyn has publicly downplayed the whole issue. He sat down for an interview with the Daily Mail in September 2025 and revealed that he has chosen to focus on his marriage and career rather than the noise surrounding his family. He pointed out that he and Nicola are just doing their thing and are happy not focusing on anything else. He also highlighted that his wife has been his biggest support system through the scrutiny.

What led to the feud between Brooklyn Beckham and the Beckham family?

For those unaware, the Beckham family conflict reportedly goes back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish 2022 wedding. According to the reports at the time, the conflict between Nicola and Victoria began over the wedding’s planning details, including the bride’s choice not to wear a dress designed by her mother-in-law. 

According to Page Six, Victoria allegedly ‘ruined’ Brooklyn and Nicola’s first dance. However, the insiders close to the Spice Girls star had denied the claim and mentioned that she was “mystified” by the accusations. Moreover, the family was also reportedly absent when Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in August 2024. However, Victoria still extended a subtle olive branch by mentioning her son in her speech at the premiere of her Netflix docuseries Victoria Beckham, where Brooklyn and Nicola made a brief cameo.
