The alleged information about Tommaso raised eyebrows, with some wondering whether he made the move to pin the blame for some real-estate-related fraud on his wife, Annie. "Some people want to blow off the power of attorney as a simple real-estate transaction, but what if some kind of disagreement came up about real estate investments, transactions? I don't dismiss anything," a concerned X user wrote. People have already made up a negative impression of Tommaso since journalist, Ashleigh Banfield named him a suspect in Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping, leading to the wariness regarding the surfaced document.

Investigator weighs in on the motive behind Tommaso Cioni's power of attorney transfer

Not just the public, Tommaso Cioni's transfer of power of attorney also drew the attention of independent investigators. Saint James Hartline, an experienced investigator and citizen journalist, weighed in on possible reasons for Tommaso's move. He shared that there may be a few reasons for the same. According to him, Tommaso might be having some mental health issues and thus wants his wife, Annie, to be able to manage his personal affairs, or he had plans of indulging in some ill activity and following that, either fleeing or being prepared for an investigation into his finances. James stated:

"Tommaso Cioni gave power of attorney over all of his financial and personal affairs to his wife Annie Guthrie. Why on earth would he do that? Unless he was either concerned about his mental state or he he was planning to leave or he was concerned with court intervention in his financial affairs. Giving power of attorney (POA) to a spouse ensures they can legally manage financial, legal, or medical affairs if you become incapacitated, ill, or unable to act for yourself.
