Aaron Rodgers is all set to play on one of the most significant nights of his career. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is heading for a win-or-go-home week 18 clash against the Houston Texans that would decide the fate of the team in the ongoing NFL season. Additionally, the game would be significant as it will also choose Aaron Rodgers' future in the sport.
The 42-year-old is currently standing at a crossroads in his career, having signed a one-year deal with the Steelers before the 2025 season. But now, after leading his team into nine wins, there are conversations around the four-time NFL MVP's retirement plans. However, despite the ongoing buzz, Aaron made it clear that leaving or continuing is no longer his solo decision now.
Aaron Rodgers sat down for a conversation with reporters during one of his recent matches and admitted that the end of the season for the Steelers would raise a lot of questions about his future in football. However, Aaron made it clear that the decision would not be his alone. Instead, he and his wife, Brittani, would take the call on together, whether he would continue in the NFL for another season or not. In his words:
"I'm 42, and I'm on a one-year deal. You know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I'll be a free agent. That'll give me a lot of options if I still want to play, maybe one or two if I decide I still want to play."
Although Aaron Rodgers had once hinted that 2025 might be his last season, he has softened on his stance on the matter. On The McAfee Show, the veteran quarterback admitted that he was open to new options and was not attached to anything regarding his retirement. Yet, irrespective of his decision, Aaron mentioned that the conversation about the same would begin at his home. Sharing his approach, he said:
"I'll talk to my wife, and then, hopefully, that's a decision down the line. I don't really want to get too deep into it right now."
Aaron Rodgers shocked everyone when he admitted he was married in 2025. Although fans have no clue about who his wife, Brittani, is, her influence on his life has become evident during the 2025 NFL season. The couple reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in early 2025. However, the news was not confirmed until months later when Aaron was spotted wearing a wedding ring. According to People, Brittani has no social media presence, avoids public appearances, and has never attended any of his games. At the same time, her last name and everything else are kept under wraps.
