Will Hema Malini's Daughters Inherit Dharmendra's 400 Cr. Estate? Ahana Says 'I'd Love To Inherit'

Veteran actor, Dharmendra, left the world on November 24, 2025. The 89-year-old passed away due to age-related ailments and heart complications. He reportedly died at his residence in Mumbai after a prolonged period of health issues that included several hospital visits. Days before his demise, a death hoax surfaced as he was hospitalised in a critical condition. Although his family quashed the rumours back then, saying that he was recovering well, just a few days later, he actually succumbed to some undisclosed ailment. Now, fans have been wondering if his kids with his second wife will be eligible to inherit his whopping crores-worth fortune.

Ahana Deol wants to inherit a particular asset of her father, Dharmendra

Ahana Deol, the younger daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini, has expressed a wish to inherit her father's vintage Fiat car in a recent chat with HerZindagiBuzz. She stated that this sentimental item holds more value for her than any lavish property or money, as it is associated with cherished memories of her childhood with him. Ahana recalls a specific time when she was six years old, and Dharmendra was leaving for his Lonavala farmhouse. Then, Ahana asked to go with him on a sudden whim. He immediately packed her bags and took her along, letting her sit on his lap during the drive. She said:

"I would love to inherit my father's first car, his Fiat. That car is so cute and vintage, and I am sure he has countless memories attached to it. It is just something I would love to have as mine."

The car drive was one of Ahana's fondest memories of her father, and her wish to inherit the Fiat highlighted a desire for emotional connection over material wealth. She viewed the car as a 'cute and vintage' piece of her father's history and hoped to preserve the memories it held.

Are Ahana Deol and her sister, Esha, eligible to inherit Dharmendra's massive fortune?

Bollywood's 'He-Man' has a massive fortune, reportedly amounting to Rs. 400 to Rs. 450 crore. It primarily comprises Dharmendra's luxurious Mumbai bungalow, a 100-acre farmhouse in Lonavala, and his chain of eateries across India. The Sholay actor maintained two sets of families– one included his first wife, Prakash Kaur, and their two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and another included his second wife, Hema Malini, and their two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. This sparked curiosity about whether Dharmendra's second family will be eligible to inherit his wealth.

A Delhi High Court advocate, Kamlesh Kumar Mishra, recently shared the legal aspect of Dharmendra's inheritance. He told ABP News that all six of Dharmendra's children, including Ahana and Esha, will be eligible to claim his money and property under Indian inheritance law. The law states that every legal heir has a right to their parents' assets unless their parents leave a will that excludes them from inheritance. The lawyer also weighed upon Dharmendra's second wife, Hema Malini's eligibility to claim her husband's wealth.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini

According to the Hindu law, Hema Malini and Dharmendra's marriage is most likely legally invalid due to his not divorcing his first wife, Prakash Kaur. That will make it difficult for Hema to get a share of her husband's assets. Some old reports claimed that Dharmendra and Hema converted to Islam to get married. If that is indeed true, then the Hindu law will not apply to Hema, and she will also become eligible to claim Dharmendra's fortune. Notably, both of them have denied the speculations of religious change. Regardless of Hema Malini's inheritance eligibility, Esha and Ahana will be able to claim their shares.
