Smriti Mandhana rose to fame with her excellent cricketing prowess on the field. After winning the World Cup 2025 and making India proud on its women's cricket team, Smriti was all set to get married to Palaash Muchhal. However, on the big day, her father was hospitalised, and the wedding was called off. Now, a woman claimed that Palaash was sending her flirtatious messages while he was with Smriti Mandhana.
Mary D'Costa is a choreographer, and she was the one who posted screenshots of her alleged chat with Palaash Muchhal. The images of the screenshot revealed Palaash flirting with her and inviting her to meet him. When she asked him about his relationship status with his fiancée, Smriti Mandana, he called it 'dead'. Now, Mary D'Costa has made her Instagram private after sharing shocking IG stories, which made the internet go berserk.

In the alleged chats, Palaash Muchhal invited Mary D'Costa for a swim and a spa outing. He even asked her to meet him during an early morning walk on Versova beach. He even in the rumoured chats mentioned that his long-distance relationship suc** and they do not meet often. So, to check the authenticity of the screenshots, ChatGPT's help was taken.

The AI platform, ChatGPT, analysed the screenshots from a technical and behavioural point of view. ChatGPT pointed out certain signs that make the screenshot look realistic. It stated that the Instagram DM layout, fonts, timestamps, reactions, and icons match the original design. There were no visual errors that easily appear in edited chats.

Apart from it, ChatGPT pointed out that the conversation seems natural with casual spoken language, typos, pauses, and usage of emojis, which talks about the emotional tone, which might be absent in the fake screenshots. It also mentioned that the screenshots show continuity and mention the same topics like swimming, Versova, and Silver Beach. The final verdict says that it looks real as the emoji reactions are not copied and pasted.

However, ChatGPT also mentioned signs that could prove the leaked screenshots to be fake. It stated that the Instagram account, 'MaryDCosta_', is not a verified person or public figure. So, the credibility of the messages cannot be determined. Apart from this, only still images were posted and not a video, as a real-time video could be easier to prove that the chats are not scripted. ChatGPT also noted the timing of the screenshots, which surfaced only after the wedding had been postponed, which looks like a way to amplify public drama.

Talking about Smriti and Palaash's relationship, the duo was expected to get married on November 23, 2025, with their close family, friends in attendance. Many members of the Women's cricket team were with Smriti during her celebrations and rooted for her. In fact, pictures and videos from the couple's Bollywood-style celebration were surfacing on the internet, and her fans were eagerly awaiting her wedding. The internet witnessed a vibrant haldi and mehendi ceremony of the couple.
