Munawar Faruqui is a popular name in Indian showbiz. He started his career in the entertainment industry with comedy stints and later ventured into the small screen with several reality TV shows. The popular comedian tied the knot for the very first time in his life in 2017. He got hitched to Jasmine in an arranged marriage set-up. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, Mikael, the following year. Unfortunately, their marital bond could not stand the test of time, and they parted ways in 2022. During his stint in Bigg Boss 17, Munawar shared with his co-contestant, Mannara Chopra that his ex-wife remarried and then shifted to another city. Meanwhile, he got his son’s custody.

Munawar participated in the first season of the ALTBalaji show, Lock Upp, hosted by Bollywood actress-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut. During his time on the show, the comedian got close to his fellow contestant and internet sensation, Anjali Arora. There were reports that the two were more than friends after Anjali said ‘I love you’ to Munawar. However, when the comedian emerged as the winner of the first season of Lock Upp, his behaviour towards the influencer changed. Later, she revealed in an interview that she was ‘emotionally involved’ with Munawar, but they were just friends. However, she was heartbroken when his behaviour changed post the show.
After his stint in Lock Upp, the comedian was spotted out and about in the city with his vlogger girlfriend, Nazila Sitaishi. According to several reports, Munawar started dating her in December 2021. Moreover, while he was in Bigg Boss 17, he confessed to being in a relationship with Nazila. However, his world turned upside down when actress, Ayesha Khan entered the house. Munawar revealed that he lied about being in a relationship with Nazila when in reality, the duo had broken up. While the comedian was still in the Bigg Boss house, Nazila accused him of cheating on her with multiple women and announced their break up in a live stream on Instagram.

Ayesha Khan’s entry in Bigg Boss 17 shook Munawar’s life. While he claimed to be in a happy relationship with Nazila during the entirety of the show, Ayesha revealed his reality on national television. The actress accused him of two-timing her and Nazila. That’s not all! Ayesha also mentioned that Munawar cheated on his first wife with his vlogger ex-girlfriend. Both Ayesha and Nazila, later, mentioned that Munawar cheated on them with multiple women.

According to several reports, Munawar tied the knot for the second time with Mumbai-based makeup artist, Mehzabeen Coatwala earlier in May 2024. They celebrated their union amidst their family and close friends. The comedian’s new bride is a known name in showbiz. She worked in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 11 for Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma. Mehzabeen is reportedly a divorcee and also a mother to her 10-year-old daughter.
