Yami Gautam and her husband, Aditya Dhar are on cloud nine as they were blessed with a baby boy on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya. Now, days after the little one's birth, the doting parents announced the same. Well, it was during the trailer launch event of their film, Article 370, when the madly-in-love couple announced their pregnancy. Afterwards, reports claimed Yami would deliver her child in June or July 2024. However, it seems their prince has already arrived in their paradise much ahead of the delivery date.
On May 20, 2024, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar collaboratively took to their IG handle and announced the arrival of their baby boy into their lives. They shared a picture of Lord Krishna holding a baby boy in his arms, reportedly signifying their son. Moreover, the picture post revealed the unique name of their prince, Vedavid, and that the little one was born on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, i.e., May 10, 2024. As per Hindu mythology, Vedavid means the one who knows the vedas and it is referred to Lord Vishnu. Along with the picture message, the doting newbie parents wrote:
"We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptionally dedicated and wonderful medical professionals at Surya Hospital, especially Dr. Bhupender Awasthi and Dr. Ranjana Dhanu, whose expertise and tireless efforts made this joyous occasion possible. As we embark on this beautiful journey of parenthood, we eagerly anticipate the bright future that awaits our son. With every milestone he achieves, we are filled with the hope and belief that he will grow to become a beacon of pride for our entire family as well as our beloved nation."

Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times during her pregnancy, Yami revealed that her family were already busy in the preparations to welcome her child. But she also mentioned that according to her culture, they don't believe in the concept of making a nursery. Instead, the actress revealed that they mainly focus on practical adjustments, giving space to the kid for when he or she will start exploring. Yami further shared her husband, Aditya's immense support during her entire pregnancy journey. The actress revealed how Aditya attentively attends to her needs and interests. Talking about the same, Yami shared:
"He is just very happy. He has got Amar Chitra Katha and Ramayana for me."
Earlier, in an interview with India Today, Yami opened up about her pregnancy journey for the first time and called it 'beautiful'. The actress shared how amazing it felt when she learnt that soon she would embrace a beautiful gift of nature. Further sharing that both she and her filmmaker husband are family-oriented people, Yami mentioned:
"It has been a great journey and you never know what surprises life has lined up for you. You may spend time planning something and suddenly you are surprised with the most unexpected thing to happen. I am generally saying this. This is something so beautiful. We are both very family-oriented people. It is funny you how we didn’t even realise it is going to be three years of marriage for us till we started reading about it in the articles and newspapers.”

During the trailer launch event of their film, Article 370, Yami and Aditya announced the news of her pregnancy. The actress was seen hiding her baby bump under her beige-hued coat. However, a certain pregnancy glow on her face was also unmissable. In a few glimpses, she was seen getting some help from her hubby, Aditya while climbing the stairs and making firm steps on the stage. Further, while interacting with the media, Aditya revealed that he and Yami were expecting their first child in a few months.
