In June 2021, Yami left her fans stunned by tying the knot with the man of her dreams, Aditya Dhar.

On June 4, 2021, Yami shared the first-ever picture from her wedding day. On the wedding day, the actress looked stunning as she wore her mother's red-coloured saree with a matching red dupatta. On the other hand, Aditya had worn a golden-coloured sherwani. Alongside the photo, Yami had written:

"In your light, I learn to love - Rumi. With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. On August 23, 2022, Yami visited her hometown, Himachal with her darling husband, Aditya. However, she made sure to seek blessing from Naina Devi at her temple. She took to her Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures from her temple visit. The actress looked gorgeous in a rani pink patiala suit. She accessorised her look with a golden choker neckpiece. On the other hand, Aditya wore a white-coloured kurta-pyjama with a blue-hued sleeveless jacket. Alongside it, Yami wrote:

"Took blessings at the divine Naina Devi mandir in my Dev-bhoomi, Himachal."

Yami is a firm believer in staying stuck to one's roots, and her wedding festivity proves it. Since her wedding, the actress has been flaunting aatheru, which is an ear ornament on numerous occasions. It is worn traditionally by married Kashmiri women. For those who don't know, the ornament is made of three elements, the dejhoor, the athoor and atah, and it is given to the bride by her in-laws.
