Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz are the most loved couple in Lollywood. The duo never misses a chance to support each other in every possible way and are also quite vocal about their love on social media. Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain tied the knot in an extravagant wedding in 2019 and, soon after, in 2021, welcomed their first son, Kabir. Yasir and Iqra are both actors in the Pakistani entertainment industry, but Yasir has expertise in multiple fields like screenwriting, direction, hosting and more.
In a recent interview, Yasir was asked what he believes is the main reason for the increasing number of celebrity divorces. To this, the multi-talented actor revealed that marriages these days are tough, and the ones between two stars are impossible to maintain. He added that in his relationship, his wife, Iqra, is the star as her magnitude of stardom is huge, and he is an artist. In Yasir’s words:
“Two actors can be happily married, two stars can’t be happily married. Bohot mushkil hai. Humare ghar mei ek hi star hai, who hai Iqra.”

Yasir further added that if we pick up celebrity marriages, the most fundamental reason for their divorce is their conflict on stardom. He then explained that even before his marriage, he decided that the only star in their house would be Iqra. He also stated that when two stars can’t be together in a film, how can you expect them to be happily married. Yasir further added:
“Shadi se pehle meine yeh faisla kar liya tha ki iss ghar mei star ek e hoga, aur who meri biwi hai.”

As soon as the video was circulated on the discussion platform, netizens highlighted that Yasir tried to take all the credit for making his marriage with Iqra work. He repeatedly mentioned that he had taken a step back and allowed Iqra to be the star when, in reality, Yasir did not possess the qualities to become a star.

Yasir Hussian went down on his knees at the 2019 Lux Style Awards. Yasir was the host of the show, and in between the awards ceremony, he went down on his knees in front of Iqra and proposed marriage to her. Iqra nodded in a yes, and the couple soon tied the knot in the same year. Life came a full circle for the duo as they first met at an award show, and from there, started growing close to each other.
