Noted television and Bollywood actor, Yusuf Husain had worked in countless Hindi movies and television shows for many decades. He had played many lead roles in several projects as well. The veteran actor is popularly known for his notable appearances in movies like Raees, Dhoom 2, Dil Chahta Hai, Raaz, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Dhoom, Shahid, OMG: Oh My God, Krrish 3, Dabangg 3, Jalebi, among many others. Yusuf Husain also worked in popular TV shows like Mullah Nasruddin, Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Ssshhhh... Koi Hai, CID, Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, to name a few.
On October 29, 2021, the veteran actor, Yusuf Husain breathed his last. However, the cause of his death is yet to be known. His son-in-law, Hansal Mehta shared the news about Yusuf's demise, on his social media handle. Several other celebrities also shared their emotional tributes to the veteran actor and paid their heartfelt condolences to his family.

Yusuf Husain's daughter, Safeena Husainis is married to filmmaker, Hansal Mehta. Taking to his social media handle, Hansal Mehta shared a heartmelting note for his father-in-law, Yusuf Husain, and mourned his demise. The Aligarh director wrote:
"I had completed 2 schedules of Shahid. And we were stuck. I was troubled. A non-existent career as a filmmaker was almost finished completely. He just came up to me and said I have a fixed deposit and it is of no use to me if you are so troubled. He wrote a cheque. Shahid was completed. That was Yusuf Husain. Not my father-in-law but a father. He was life if life itself had to have a physical form. Today he is gone. To remind all those women in heaven that they are 'Duniya ki sabse khubsurat ladki and All the men that they are 'Haseen naujwaan'. And then to end with a booming 'love you love you love you'. Yusuf Saab I owe this new life to you. I am truly orphaned today. Life will never be the same. I will miss you terribly. My Urdu will remain broken. And yes - love you love you love you!"
Hansal Mehta's heartmelting tribute made the veteran actress, Pooja Bhatt, emotional. The actress paid condolences to his family in the comment section of Hansal's tweet and wrote:
"This brought tears to my eyes Hansal. Can't begin to imagine what you'll are feeling. My deepest condolences to all!"

Many other celebrities including Manoj Bajpayee, Sanjay Gupta, Abhishek Bachchan and others also extended their heartfelt condolences to the doting son-in-law, Hansal Mehta and his wife, Safeena Husain, in this hour of grief. Actor, Manoj Bajpayee mourned Yusuf's death and tweeted:
"Sad News!!! Condolences to @safeenahusain @mehtahansal & the entire family!!! Rest in peace Yusuf saab."

Bollywood actor, Abhishek Bachchan also condoled Yusuf Husain's demise and tweeted:
"#RIP Yusuf ji. We worked together in several films starting with Kuch na kaho and lastly on Bob Biswas. He was gentle, kind and full of warmth. Condolences to his family."
Film director, Sanjay Gupta also took to his Twitter handle and paid tribute to the departed soul. He wrote:
"You will always be missed Yusuf Saab. Malavli will never be the same without your benevolent presence. Rest in peace and keep spreading the cheer. My deepest condolences to Safeena, Rianna, Kimaya and Hansal.#RIPYusufHussain."
Back in 2012, in a conversation with The Times Of India, the veteran actor had shared that he was still in search of a soulmate. Sharing the details, Yusuf Husain had said:
"Yes, I have married thrice but I’m probably still looking for that perfectly understanding partner. But I’m 60 plus now, maybe that search will never end!"
