Former cricketer, Yuvraj Singh had left the internet puzzled when, in 2007, he revealed he was dating an actress. Now, a video on Reddit has gone viral, and he was heard saying that he was in a relationship with a heroine. He was smart not to take the name of the actress, but he revealed she had followed him in Australia during India's test tour series back in 2007-2008.
Eagle-eyed fans of the cricketer on Reddit found an old interview of Yuvraj. This was back in 2007, 2008, when the cricketer had spoken of his girlfriend and revealed she was doing good at the moment. In the anecdote, Yuvraj revealed how he had told her to not meet him as he wanted to concentrate on his game, but she still followed him to Canberra. In his words:
"I actually was dating an actress. I won't take her name. She is very good at the moment. She actually was shooting in Adelaide. I told her listen let's just not meet for a bit because you know, need to focus. She actually followed me to Canberra in a bus and it was in the middle of the test tour. I was like what are you doing here? She is like you know, I want to spend time with you."
Yuvraj, also in the anecdote, revealed how he met the actress the night before, and they chatted. He had told her to focus on her career while he had to focus on his career as he was on the Australian tour, which meant a lot to him.
Yuvraj had spent time with the actress in Canberra, and reportedly, she had also packed his suitcase that night. When the former cricketer asked for his shoes, she said that they were packed. He remembered having only 20 minutes to get onto the bus, in the morning and was like, 'How am I gonna go in the bus'? The actress then gave her pink shoes to him, and he then narrated how he walked inside the bus with a pair of pink shoes, and the rest of the team members clapped for him slowly. He wore the pink footwear till he could wear some flip flops before he boarded the plane.
Social media users on Reddit claimed that Yuvraj was mentioned as Deepika Padukone. They had called her, "clingy for all wrong men" in the comments section. Even when the podcast went live, some statements claimed Yuvraj was talking of Deepika when he came on Club Prairie Fire podcast. Deepika and Yuvraj were linked many times, and in 2007, and 2008, they were seen together many times after she made her debut with Om Shanti Om. It is interesting to note that during this time, the actress also shot for Bachna Ae Haseeno. A part of the movie was also filmed in Australia.
