When Yuzi Chahal Revealed Dhanashree Verma's Demand For Diamonds After Fight On 'Jhalak' Sets

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are in the news because of their reported split. The duo has not officially confirmed this, but their lawyers say the divorce proceeding matter is under subjudice. Now, an old video of the couple from the sets of the dancing reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, went viral where Yuzi shared that Dhanashree demanded diamonds from him after a fight.

For the unversed, Dhanashree is a dentist turned choreographer. She had taught Yuzi dance in the COVID-19-induced lockdown, reportedly for two months, marking the beginning of their love story. Dhanashree also participated in the dancing reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, where Yuzi came to show support to her. It was here when the spinner humorously shared that Dhanashree used to ask for diamonds after a fight. It was seen in one of the episodes of the show that hosts, Gauahar Khan and Rithvik Dhanjani had arranged for a game competition between Yuzi and Dhanashree.

As per the rules Dhanashree and Yuzi had to hold placards while the other person had to guess what was written on the placard in 10 seconds. When Dhanashree placed her placard it was written, 'Diamond'. Yuzi was trying to make her understand the word on the placard and said:

"Joh humesha aap demand karte ho. Jab bhi ladayi hoti hai uske badd aap kuch na kuch demand karte ho."

Dhanashree was left puzzled and did not understand the subtle dig Yuzi took on her with the diamond reference. She then said 'what'? and then Yuzi showed his diamond earrings to her. He then clarified that she had never asked for diamonds. Yuzi's presence in the show added the element of fun banter. Especially when Yuzi said that Dhanashree always demanded something when they fought, and she thought it was 'sorry'.

Yuzi, on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, was playfully also teased by Farah Khan, who spoke to him about his earlier dance lessons. The cricketer had shared that he had reached out to Dhanashree via mutual connections as he wanted to learn dance lessons. However, he was taken aback when she took 2 weeks to respond. Yuzi shared that he was dedicated to dancing and had diligently trained under Dhanashree for two months, showing his commitment to the craft.

When Yuzi came to the Jhalak sets, he first saw Dhanashree's live performance on the show sets. He also took a moment to express how she always supported him in all the cricket matches. Dhanashree had dedicated her dance performance to Yuzi with her choreographer. The journey of Dhanashree and Yuzi as a couple was beautifully reflected in her dance performance. Their moments together as a couple were showcased.
