Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are all set to tie the marital knot on December 25, 2020. They had informed about the same a few days ago, through their respective social media handles. The couple had shared three adorable pictures along with a wedding statement. Check it out below:
Gauahar Khan took to her IG stories and shared the sweet surprise given to her by her fiance, Zaid Darbar. In his latest video, Zaid Darbar can be seen holding a picture of Gauahar Khan and hugs it while humming the song 'Tere Naal Chaliye Haseen Koi Na'. In the caption, Zaid expressed that since he couldn't dance with Gauahar, so he started his video with her picture. His caption can be read as "I couldn't dance with you, so started off my video with you. I miss you @gauaharkhan. #Gaza#waalian #Atrangz." On December 3, 2020, Gauahar Khan had shared a romantic sun-kissed selfie with her fiance and popular dancer, Zaid Darbar from their 'golden hour'. In the picture, the couple had looked breathtakingly beautiful in their respective attires while sitting inside their car. While Gauahar had donned her beautiful smile, Zaid had looked dapper in his white t-shirt. Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, the bride-to-be, Gauahar Khan had revealed that she and Zaid had decided to get engaged within a month of knowing each other. In her words, "I was averse to the idea of being with anyone when I met him. Yet, I felt this was something different because I had never met someone like him. I felt this is my kind of human being. He is like me in many ways in thoughts, behaviour, history and characteristics. So, I knew we would have a great friendship. We didn't have a courtship. I met him, we hit it off and he didn't think he would propose to someone, marriage was not on his mind. When he asked me, it wasn't planned. It was in a flow and after meeting me, in literally over a month, he proposed to me. There were no second thoughts."
In an interview with Etimes, Gauahar Khan had clarified about the alleged 12 years of age difference between her and Zaid. Revealing that Zaid is a few years younger to her, but 12 is not the number, Gauahar had stated, "Let me clear this, the age difference that has come out is wrong. 12 years is wrong and it is very easy for people to make it a news. But it is wrong. Yes, he is a few years younger to me but 12 is not the number. He is way more mature than I am and he has brought the sense of balance in my life. Judging and passing comments that the age gap can act as a barrier in a relationship is very easy, but for Zaid and I we have a similar kind of understanding and maturity.
