Telugu superstar, Nagarjuna's son, Akhil Akkineni, got married to his love, Zainab Ravdjee, in an intimate ceremony on June 6, 2025, at Annapurna Studios, which is owned by the Akkineni family. It was a simple wedding in the presence of close family and friends. Later, a grand wedding reception was hosted on June 8, 2025, which was attended by several politicians and A-listed celebs from the South. As pictures and videos of Zainab and Akhil's wedding went viral, netizens wondered if the bride was pregnant.

As soon as the photos were posted, netizens wondered if Zainab was pregnant. The post was shared on Reddit, and the author wondered why people started speculating about her pregnancy on the most special day of her life. The post can be read as:

"I was watching Akhil's marriage reels. Many people have commented that Zainab Ravdjee, Akhil's Wife, is pregnant. Its shocking if she's pregnant before marriage. Also many have commented why he's marrying her, as she's not of his religion, she is 9 years elder to him. Many even say that she's a divorcee, as her name before had 'Mirza' too. And there is also news that she has a 9 year old child! Many people have trolled her saying she's not beautiful and plastic. What are your opinions on the trolls? And do you feel that she's pregnant, or like me who thinks it's just her tummy looking like that and she's not pregnant."

Soon netizens flooded the comments section, and sided with Zainab. One user highlighted, "These are ignorant fools who don’t know how a woman’s body looks like because they mostly only see their mothers and then instagram models or actresses. So bit of a fluctuation they think this." A second user penned, "I don't understand why it's shocking for you, if she is pregnant."

For the intimate wedding, the bride ditched the usual South Indian bridal look, which is adorned with heavy gold jewellery from head to toe. Instead, she kept her look delicate with diamond jewellery. Zainab wore an ivory-gold saree. Talking about her bridal jewellery, Zainab wore a diamond choker neckpiece with red ruby in the centre. She styled it with a three-layered diamond necklace, a mathapatti, a nath, matching jhumkas, a waist belt made of diamonds and diamond bangles.

On November 26, 2024, Akhil Akkineni took to his Instagram handle, and posted a couple of pictures of his engagement with Zainab. In the photos, the couple twinned in white. While Akhil looked handsome in a crisp white-hued shirt with matching pants, Zainab picked a flowy white-hued maxi dress with bishop sleeves.

Subtle makeup, perfectly lined eyes and pink lipstick completed her look. The bride-to-be opted for an open side-parted hairstyle. In the first picture, Akhil and Zainab held each other's hands, and the scenic view of the setting sun with greenery left our jaws dropped. In the next photo, Akhil hugged Zainab from the back, and we could clearly see the huge diamond ring he had gifted her.
